5 Best bank in San Jose, California (CA) 2024

First time using this branch. Went in to convert dollars to Pasos for my trip to Mexico. I guess these days they don't carry foreign currency so they have to order it. It's Wednesday and I'm skeptical it will get there on time so I confirm that it will get there by Friday because I leave early Saturday. The teller assures me that he has never seen an order be late so I place the order. What do you know the order does not make it by Friday. I ask if they can cancel the order or if I can just return them for what I paid. The teller goes and talks to the manager and says I have to pay the exchange rate on the day that I exchange. This is the issue, because Wells Fargo buys and sells with a mark up to make money. Which means not only do I not get my Pasos on time for my trip I loose money on the transaction and have to spend my time finding Pasos last minute. Only give 2 stars because the teller was really nice and sorry about the policy, manager does not care about customer service and doing the right thing. ~Kyle

After my dad passed away this bank was a nightmare to work with. They wouldn't let my mom close their joint account. Her attorney actually said what they were doing was illegal. The management and staff were terrible. ~Julie

Wednesday May, 20, 2020 After for a while shelter in place, I came to visit East West Bank this morning with my appointment. I was really happy when everybody there was friendly and warmly. Thanks everyone, It seems like family gathering for a long time. Love it 😍 ~hieu

This Citibank is located on Taylor St, close to downtown San Jose. It has been shut down during Pandemic last year, only ATM is available. Looks like this branch is now open for public due to slow down on Pandemic. Need more employees to work in this branch. ~Sheri
