Awful experience. We rented a forklift from Rob. We rented on a Friday. It worked, at first, but then, stopped functioning entirely. After a while, it would start if you tried starting it for long periods of time and you had to pray it would start. We lost more than two days' worth of time on our machine because it was set up for this specific project. We tried calling several times and our calls were not returned and the voice mailbox for Rob was full so we were unable to leave a message. When we finally got him on Sunday, he said he would not come to pick it up as they do not work on Sundays. They do charge for Saturday and Sunday, but they're not available to fix a broken machine nor will they pick it up. When I explained the machine was not working, Rob stated this was an 'unforeseen' circumstance and offered a 10% refund. Our machine that was tied up due to their incompetence runs at $120 per hour. I finally called the main office and Dennis, the owner, made some excuses but did agree to only bill us for 2 days instead of 4, a total savings of far less than what we lost (16 hours worth of time on our $120/hr machine). We were still billed for all other incidentals including delivery and pick up fees. He did not offer any apologies nor acknowledge our lost income.
