Best butcher shop deli in Fairfield, Connecticut (CT) 2024

Just had the pleasure of stopping in and got a Carmine’s special from Carmine himself. The sandwich was a work of art. If it didn’t taste so good I would’ve felt bad about eating it. This place is worth going out of your way for and is a head above every other place I’ve tried in Fairfield. ~Nicholas

You can still get a sandwich for $6. A really really good sandwich. That could be the whole review lol. I got a "Dallas" which is chicken cutlet, barbecue sauce, cheese, bacon, and caramelized onions, and I got it on a sesame seed grinder roll for $6.75. And the bread was fresh. The attention to detail is a perfect reflection of the experience that goes into a deli old enough to have importing in it's name. You shouldn't expect leftovers, but what you can count on is walking through the door and into a place out of time, a relic from a bygone era that must be protected and preserved. You should also expect a strong desire to return anytime you're in the area, or passing through Fairfield 💯 ~Alexander
