Best sandwich shop in Fairfield, Connecticut (CT) 2025

You can still get a sandwich for $6. A really really good sandwich. That could be the whole review lol. I got a "Dallas" which is chicken cutlet, barbecue sauce, cheese, bacon, and caramelized onions, and I got it on a sesame seed grinder roll for $6.75. And the bread was fresh. The attention to detail is a perfect reflection of the experience that goes into a deli old enough to have importing in it's name. You shouldn't expect leftovers, but what you can count on is walking through the door and into a place out of time, a relic from a bygone era that must be protected and preserved. Great, quick experience tonight. Both ladies were quick to greet, polite, and worked together well to get the Uber and in store guests out the door. Food was hot and delicious.
