6 Best bakery in Clearwater, Florida (FL) 2024

By far our favorite Publix in the area. Their deli is wonderful and always fresh, their bakery is always stocked with whatever we need and their produce is always delicious! Even their meat and seafood counter is ready for whatever we may need any day of the week. They have a nice selection of alcohol-free wines and beers as well! We adore the staff on top of it all! Honesty not much cheaper than Walmart when you account for food waste, only selling name brands and the fuel is usually 10 cents cheaper. I on average wait 5 minutes to get fuel and the pumps cut off at $100. I feel so rushed due to the wait that leave with 3/4 thank and save about $1 every time my fiance goes she says this is the last time I'll ever go there I kind of feel the same way! ~West

Publix has always been my favorite super market in Florida. It's always cleaner than other stores and I like how they are all designed similarly, so I easily can find what I am looking for no matter what location I run into. The staff seem happy. The customers seem happy- I am happy! ~Lori

Great prices but occasionally checkout lines can b long bcuz of how registers are setup here vs. other walmarts. I still do almost all grocery shopping here to save money. It's worth long lines for what I can save, especially on store-brand products I use daily. Recently it appears they r currently resetting the store so hopefully that means better checkouts. Update 4/6/22: Up to 4 stars. Store looks almost done w the reset. The checkout experience has greatly improved re: long lines bc of old-style lanes. They kept 4 belt-style regular lanes w cashiers for larger orders. And the self-checkout area has finally evolved into what u would expect: a greater # of registers in a more open space, similar to the other Walmarts in the area. They have 13 total self-checkouts, so if you r quicker on your own, even w a large order, this store at last offers what it lacked- more checkouts. I've been in several times in the past few wks, & I don't recall a wait at self-checkout registers more than 1 or 2 times. They are also increasing variety of some products. The non-food section is where I noticed most so far. This is another improvement shoppers will appreciate. I no longer have to go to a supercenter to get most personal & pet items. Do yourself a favor and do not get the grilled cheese sandwich. No crispness no butter on the bread. I’ve had styrofoam have more flavor than this. Should of stuck with Starbucks. They have tasty grilled cheese. Buttery and crispy. Sorry about the picture I was in the middle of chewing and spit it out. I’m just in shock how awful it is. ~Shawn

I cannot stress enough how delicious the food is, how delightful the staff is, and how beautiful the atmosphere is.
