6 Best pharmacy in Fort Myers, Florida (FL) 2024

I have medication that I have to pick up, as I imagine a lot of other people do. So why is it that no one is ever available at the pharmacy to answer any of my calls? How can they be there for any of their customers? I'm just fortunate that there are other Publix's in my area, but this one needs to get their stuff together. ~Yasmine

I self checked out at front, put a $20 in for a $15 ish charge and Aaron, a clerk stepped up and asked if I needed help. I was in a hurry, said no thanks and ran out forgetting my change. I was getting into car and he ran out looking for me and got me my change. How nice he was! Thank you. A good honest guy! ~Betsy

I am diabetic and went here to buy syringes without a prescription as I had run out before I could renew my prescription through my mail order insurance express scripts. I have purchased them before at other publix stores by showing them my test kit and a vial of my insulin. This pharmacist didn't seem to care. I even tried to show the express scripts app showing I had gotten insulin and syringes through express scripts recently but he wouldn't even look. He walked away before I could even finish talking to him. I felt he turned me down thinking I was someone trying to buy them to use drugs. I went to another Publix near where I used to live and the pharmacist there actually treated me like a human and asked questions to determine if I needed them and sold me the syringes. It's really a shame to go somewhere to get something to treat a disease and be treated this way. ~Robert

Pharmacists and techs are always friendly, they are fast, usually no wait, they work to help you resolve insurance challenges as well. ~Will

They're so slow that out of curiosity I started timing them. During my visits, they have averaged 10 minutes per customer. If you get 2 people in front of you, it will be a half hour to pick up a prescription that is ready for you. During the course of the last year, I've visited other pharmacies, including other Walgreens locations. Average time to serve a customer was just over 2 minutes. Not sure what is wrong here, but you really want to avoid this location. I'm sure they will blame COVID. Thats fine. Other locations are not so impacted by COVID in that case. Bottom line is the same. Avoid this location. ~Ed

If you need prescriptions filled, these people are the best compounding pharmacy. Period. They can ship to multiple states. A lot of states. ~David
