Best nail salon in Chicago, Illinois (IL) 2024

First, I had a 4p appointment and they didn’t start my service until 4:25. She was done with my no-chip manicure before 5p… I can appreciate a quick manicure, but not when corners are cut. First, I asked for all my nails to be trimmed to the same length as one of my nails that had broken. Some were longer, some were shorter. And she never asked or gave me a chance to check the length and shape before starting to paint. My cuticles were never trimmed. The painting was sloppy, there was nail polish on my skin on almost every finger. Plus, many parts were thin enough that the polish was see-through. She never had me rinse or wash my hands, so at the end when she went to rub lotion into my hands, she was also rubbing gritty nail filings all over. For the same reason, multiple nails have bumps because there are nail filings under the gel. All of this, for my “no-chip” manicure to literally chip about 3 hours later. Of note, they will fix chipped manicures within a week of the original service. But I’m not wasting my time. I’ll just have them re-done correctly at a salon that values quality. ~Grace

This is my FAVORITE nail salon in the area. The staff is super kind and welcoming. You can tell they want you to leave satisfied and take their time to give you the best looking nails! Janice is fantastic. She is always open to fun or challenging ideas/designs. I highly recommend this salon they do an impressive job and really take care of their clients!!! UPDATE: I love this nail salon so much- I had to expand on my previous review. Janice is easily the best nail tech I’ve ever had. She recently tested a new nail technique (heart nail photos) and I’m going on week three with perfect nails. (First photos are day of, third photo is growth after two weeks) You MUST give this spot a try. Their attention to detail and customer care is top notch. This place is awesome! The ambience is perfect: soothing music, warm table and she is an excellent massage therapist. She knows the muscles and how to work on them properly and effectively. I highly recommend her! Suite 19. Also, the barber on the premises, Montez, is fantastic! Very good at his craft, and knows how to give a woman a great, precise barber cut with out it looking too hard. He is highly recommended as well. Suite 16. Love this place! This is the best place to get your nails done! Julie is INCREDIBLE. The best manicure I’ve ever got and she is SO kind and takes her time. You don’t feel rushed and she does such a wonderful job. This is my go-to place to give giftcards to my friends because I know my friends will get the best manicure here. ~Lauren
