9 Best bank in Baltimore, Maryland (MD) 2024

Manuale was absolutely amazing. A law firm had wrote me a check that they owed me.The law firm also banked with PNC. Yet and still it was a hold on the check and no one seemed to know why or could fix it. I was transferred to Manuale (I hope I’m spelling his name correctly) He listen to me and dug deeper and was able to one get my funds released and two reassured me that I had made the right decision by banking with PNC. I had a lot of things going on that day and could not afford me not having the funds I needed. I wish all people would go above and beyond such as he did! I expressed to him how he really changed my day by simply doing his job at his full potential. It’s so easy to push the problem on someone else but I appreciate the fact that he personally figured things out and rectified the situation. Thank you Manuale! You are appreciated! ~carrie

If you go into a bank no one greets you at the front door you look around no ones there to help you sit down and wait but no one approaches you to ask what you need then you know thats bank is the wrong bank ~Human

So my first time using Mecu on Martin Luther King blvd. When I arrived to go in, the bank employee informed me that the line started outside. I go outside and it's only 7 people in the line. This is the only bank I ever seen that allows their customers to wait outside in the weather and not the safest area. People watching who going in and out the bank. Watching if people are driving or walking. No security for the bank either. The bank was only letting one person in at a time on top of that teller going ask you not cold???? This bank is a mess from what I saw . When I left it was 45 mins till close with about 7 more people in line. ~James

I don’t know if this is a law with bank saving accounts but I HATE the 6 minimum withdrawals limit. To keep matters simple, I was in a situation where I had no choice but to make separate withdrawals within a given month and M&T didn’t like that so they blew up my phone and left voicemails then gotten letters in the mail being professionally threatened to have my account removed. So with my financial situation under control, I no longer have a savings and just keeping my checking account. I didn’t bother returning the calls to these women because one of them went out their way to threaten me in a professional tone. So from now on I don’t go inside the bank to see a teller. I make all my deposits through the Indoor ATM and all is well. If it wasn’t for the rude employee, I would have walked inside and explain my situation and maybe work something out. But as a M&T customer since 2013, this took me by suprise. On some days, expect to wait almost 10-30 minutes max for someone to see you since they only have 2 people working behind the counter the last time I went to a teller. Knocked off 2 star for the stupid 6 max withdrawals per month and the threatening voicemail. ~Veni

It's a much better branch then most, there is an employee named Heather who is a very nice, professional employee of m&t she was able to help me with my account when no other employee from M&T could. I was about to close my account until she helped me. She's faster then most teller's and very polite and professional. She seemed to have a good understanding of how the account's work. ~Bobby

The only reason why I join this Bank was for their extended hours now they want to open late and close when every other bank closes it's not convenient anymore I think I'm closing all my accounts out ~shawn

AVOID PNC. They had someone do a CMA on my house and they were using 3 year old data. They refused to share why/how this happened. They refused to expedite the re/do process. No apologies offered. Go anywhere else and probably to local credit unions. They need our, super hard fought for, assets to survive just as we do. ~Bryan

Very convenient bank and also the tellers are very nice and considerate even if you don't have a bank account with them. Especially love the option of Saturday hours. As not many other banks in the area are open on Saturday. Also love that there near many bus stops and The Market at Belvedere Square. Makes it convenient to purchase a quick bite to eat or something to drink when waiting on the bus. As they don't come that often on Saturdays as they do on weekends. ~Travis
