Best animal hospital in Silver Spring, Maryland (MD) 2024

We are extremely happy with this vet clinic. The staff is so nice and caring. You can tell they really do enjoy the work they do. We have had three visits with this clinic over the last year and each time we are always happy with the quality of service. They are affordable, reasonable, and Dr. Makhijani provided us with detailed communication about what we need to do at home for our pet. We feel very lucky and happy to have found this vet. We had our last vet for five years and when we relocated to DC we needed to find someone new which was stressful and made us so nervous. We are truly happy to say that Family Pet Veterinary Practice is our cats’ vet clinic! ~Marcela

I had an emergency situation with my dog, and my regular vet could not see him even though I called as soon as they opened. Marymount was able to see him the same day, and Dr. Meyer quickly got our dog on IV fluids and other needed meds after bloodwork was done. We went back two days later for a follow up appointment,and got a diagnosis and meds. Kevin, one of the techs, was so kind with our dog and was wonderful at showing us how to administer IV fluids at home. It is a calm, quiet practice with lovely front desk staff, and their prices are far less than I would have expected. We will absolutely be using them going forward for both our dog and cat. ~Margret
