So patient and caring. My dog was not at all keen on getting 4 shots + her blood drawn during our visit, but the staff here were so gentle and understanding. It really gave me new standards to hold other vets to! 5/5, would recommend to a friend!

We are extremely happy with this vet clinic. The staff is so nice and caring. You can tell they really do enjoy the work they do. We have had three visits with this clinic over the last year and each time we are always happy with the quality of service. They are affordable, reasonable, and Dr. Makhijani provided us with detailed communication about what we need to do at home for our pet. We feel very lucky and happy to have found this vet. We had our last vet for five years and when we relocated to DC we needed to find someone new which was stressful and made us so nervous. We are truly happy to say that Family Pet Veterinary Practice is our cats’ vet clinic!

Out of 7+ calls I made to them, only one got answered by a live person and it took two weeks and two voicemail messages to get someone to respond to my online appt request. Please consider hiring a dedicated admin assistant, cuz this is ridiculous.

I only deducted a star because they keep a large iguana in a tiny cage in their lobby, and the poor animal is so deprived. Such a strange sight in a place where people supposedly care for animals. I hope they've since moved her to a sanctuary.
