7 Best wine store in Silver Spring, Maryland (MD) 2024

Friendly employees! Well-organized store. Wide national and international variety of booz for both men and women. But make no mistake, robust “covid” demand and inflation definitely flared up the prices! it is what it is. So check it out! ~Nicson

Not having grown up with government operated liquor stores I always expected it to be very procedural and overpriced, not the case here though. Friendly staff, good selection, very clean and prices are actually much better than privately operated stores in neighboring counties. They keep government hours though, so don't expect to send a runner to keep the party going late in the evening. ~Carson

All my visits here have been extremely pleasant and professional. Until recently; I’m not sure of her name but this new lady has been nothing but rude. ~H

Good go to spot for wine and an ok alternative to fenwick for beer. Has a little household section with basics. And a small snack section including a limited cheese section. The guy who works the counter is always friendly. ~LP

On a Sunday afternoon, my boyfriend and I went to Fenwick Beer & Wine for an outdoor free cider tasting of Austin Eastciders, Chesapeake Cider Company, Graft Cider, Downeast Cider, and ANXO Cider. Our favorites were Austin Eastciders' Blood Orange and Passionfruit ciders, Chesapeake Cider's Orange Crush and Blackberry ciders, Downeast Cider's Pineapple, Strawberry, Original, Blackberry, Pineapple-Strawberry, and Strawberry-Blackberry, and Graft Cider's Salt & Sand Mezcal Margarita. After the cider tasting, we shopped at the store. Pedro and Esther were friendly and helpful. We didn't see any of Austin Eastciders' Passionfruit cider so we had to ask for it. We ended up getting a variety of four and six pack of cider and beer including Ace Guava Cider, Downeast Cider Strawberry/Blueberry/Raspberry Cider, Austin Eastciders' Passionfruit Cider, Red Shedman's Raspberry and Apple Pie & Ice Cream Cider, and 3 Stars Brewing Low Hanging Fruit Sour Ale. ~Samantha
