Family Dollars are an appreciated addition to the community. They have a wide and affordable selection of most things people really need on an everyday basis. The staff is rather attentive to their tasks and the inventory is often well stocked and shelved. The store is tech savvy and allows for pay using cards and your phone. Would be nice if they added a self check out, and stocked more organic food options. ~The

The prices marked on the shelves do not match what the registrar rings up. I had this happen alot the prices are always higher when you cash out. I will not shop there anymore. They need to fix this problem l work in retail and the employees there just say the store has to update but they never have this problem has been going on for months it's not worthwhile going there. ~suzanne

Worse store I have ever walked into. Just the parking alot alone is disgusting and trash everywhere. Walk inside and you have boxes in every singe aisle covering all the shelves! How can you buy anything when shelves are either empty or blocked by boxes and totes! I have never seen a store with so much unopened merchandise through the aisle blocking aisles and its such a hazard walking through the store. Place is totally disgusting and so unsafe. You have people coming in robbing the place infront of you and drug activities everywhere. Not safe ~Alexis

I've always loved Ocean State Job lot. I went there the other day to get some plant pots to replant my plants to grow bigger. Of course I see the big glazed ones and you expect that they're very expensive but there was a 30% off sale and I made out like a bandit and then I go to Lowe's to get potting soil and found three plants in one pot for really cheap. So thank you Ocean State Job lot you should see my plants and my house ~Bruce
