S&T Auto SALES

Terrible business! I purchased a jeep from this business in October 2016. I spent $1,500 in repairs drove it for 3 months took it in again to be told the engine is bad. I am still paying on a vehicle that I cannot drive. Total cost $7,800. Owner did nothing to help. ~Dione

Heykoop's Auto Sales

Found the right truck on Facebook Marketplace – 6 hours away across Lake Michigan. Spent the last several days working out the logistics of getting to Montague Michigan from Milwaukee Wisconsin. Ferry isn’t running yet. Andy Heykoop generously offered to pick us up in Grand Rapids (an hour away) if we flew in. Decided to rent a car and drive over. Left early this morning and two hours into the trip and three tolls in Illinois, Andy texts that he just sold the truck to someone else. Took my breath away! Came home $150 poorer (for the rental) and no truck. ~Cindy

Johnsons Great Outdoors

These guys were extremely helpful with a new bow purchase I made two weeks ago. Very knowledgeable of their products, and one of the bow techs (Larry) even came in on his day off to get my bow set up. The next week, I went back to get some tuning things worked out, and again, above and beyond service. Larry again stayed after to help me finish getting dialed in. They have a great fishing selection, and archery selection. Shop was very organized, and I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. Highly recommend. Shop local! ~Zach

United States Postal Service

Can’t say enough positive things about my family’s recent experience applying for a passport for our newborn here at the Montague Post Office. The post office employee who helped us went out of his way to accommodate us and our infant, who on multiple attempts just flatly refused to open her eyes for her passport photos! None of the suspected roadblocks to a successful passport application submission could get in this employee’s way! This post office has their act together — Kind employees, quick and professional service — even in this age of coronavirus precautions too! Many thanks for your service! ~Daniel

Lakeshore Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram

I rarely ever write reviews, but my experience at Lakeshore Chrysler was just so amazing that I had to write one for them. These people are honestly miracle workers. Benji in the service department is so kind and honest with people. As a young woman it can be terrifying going to a mechanic as it’s so common to be talked down to and overcharged. But Benji talked to me like an equal and explained things in a very non-condescending way. Not to mention, this was the only dealership that would look at my car a week after it broke, as opposed to every other dealership that told me I’d have to wait until almost August. They originally told me the part wouldn’t be in until the end of August, but my car was fixed and ready to go within a month. It was also all under my $2000 budget. And after all the repairs, they wanted to look at it for one more day as they feared there was a transmission problem. Turns out the transmission was fine and they didn’t charge me at all for the additional day. This place is amazing and really did save me from financial stress and a complete mental breakdown. The salesman even came out and talked to me while I sat outside waiting for my ride, very nice people. I would recommend this place to anyone with a Chrysler vehicle. 11/10 ~Isabelle

The Carriage Antique Mall

I also have a booth here and it is a very clean and inviting place. The prices are very reasonable ans tons of different and unique items. Not everything is Antique, many new, gently used and hand crafted inexpensive but quality items! Come and See, you'll definitely agree! ~Julie

Jimmy's Pub

Friendly staff, good food. For a bar the french dip and house salad were very good, salad wasn’t ice berg lettuce which I appreciated! French dip had mushrooms and onions. I would definitely go back. ~shaggy

Montague Foods

1. I LOVE the employees. A+++ the BEST people work here. 2. I would give 4.5 stars if i could... Due to no real fault of their own. My heart darn near gave out when the cheapest eggs in store were $4.59 a dozen for large. 😔. I WANT to shop "local". I am also on a budget with a fixed income. 3. Yes you should stop by here for your groceries after looking at the world's largest weathervane. 4. The LARGEST wine and liquor selection in over 30 miles. 5. The attached fuel station has the LARGEST drink selection in the area for "singles". No need to buy a 6pack to try that new ipa/lager/fancypants drink. Buy a Montague Wildcats shirt while your here too! ~Randall
