Best atm in Ypsilanti, Michigan (MI) 2024

I came and tried to have my check cashed and the teller lied and said she couldn’t help me so she could go home. I tried to ask a question, and they completely ignored me at the door. I can’t believe this is the standard for customer service at this location. Update: Because the teller didn’t want to cash my check, she suggested I use the mobile app which would make a portion of the funds available. For whatever reason, there was an error with the app and depositing the check in the atm caused a duplicate transaction, resulting in a hold on my account. I called customer service and they informed me I could go in and ask to withdraw the money from my savings account until the issue was resolved. I’m pretty sure they must have heard about my complaint because when I arrived, the same two bankers were present and very stoic. I explained how her wrong information resulted in many inconveniences and I was still denied service. I was upset when I heard on the phone that she would have to ask the manager for permission to release the funds, but she never even moved from the desk and just decided, again, that she couldn’t help me. After wasting about an hour here, I drove across town to another branch, explained the exact same information and was able to make the withdrawal with no problem. Needless to say, I probably won’t be returning to this branch even though it’s the closest location to my house. ~Deashia

I was new in town and had done previous banking with Key in Ohio, same as my family. I actually opened my first ever savings bank account at a Key branch when I was a young kid and they offered those accounts for kids. Anyways, the employees were very nice, asked if I wanted anything to drink while I waited for the branch manager to set me up with a checking account. I only had to wait between 5-10 minutes, I could see she was finishing up a call. She was super friendly and walked me through the process. I believe I opened a student account or young person account with no minimum amount of money to open. I moved here to be a Washtenaw Community College student. So it was free to open the account. The manager made it a quick and easy process: two forms of I.D. and a couple signatures and I had my very own checking account with debit card. Thanks Key bank! ~Nathaniel
