Sam's Club has some of the best gas in Ann Arbor. And their grocery store is the bomb they have pretty much what you really want. And their prices are beautiful I give them 5 start up. ~Willie

I would not shop at this dollar general if your life depended on it. Sherry would not return my items when I came in to make an exchange. She told me that I needed to in “so many words” to go back to the Pinckney dollar general to return my items. It didn’t make sense to me because I live in Ypsilanti. I needed to make an exchange for a project that I was trying to complete for my class at Eastern. I even had a receipt for proof. I also asked her if she could call her manager to see if they could help but she said that the manager could not come in or that she wouldn’t be able to call. She wouldn’t even give me the store number for me to call to ask the manager personally. I also asked if there was a corporate number and she said no, that the store did not have a direct number. Over all I was just very disappointed with the service given that I’ve worked in retail and customer service for going on more than 10 years now. I have learned over the years that you try to do all that you can to help your customer and unfortunately I did not feel this way. I won’t be shopping or doing business here anymore. It was a horrible experience. ~Whitt

I've been a loyal customer at the Michigan Ave location for about a decade. My latest device activation went awry, leaving me with no hotspot and no 5G, I decided it was time to try another location. Kal definitely went above and beyond, though it was a rather strange issue (which ultimately seemed to have been incorrect configuration of the SIM card at the other location) he worked diligently to isolate the cause and reprogram the SIM correctly. After weeks of frustration, he was not only friendly and helpful, but also a skilled troubleshooter and technician. His attention to detail is outstanding and his dedication to getting the issue resolved was such a relief! I really appreciate his passion for finding the answer. ~Claire

The staff at Sams Club Optical are nice and helpful. My issue is with the lens distributor that they go through. TWO TIMES they messed up one of my lens and they had to send them back to fix. This wastes a ton of time and is a disappointment. There seems to be no quality control before glasses get shipped back to Sams. 3rd time is a charm!?!?! ~j_music_87

I came and tried to have my check cashed and the teller lied and said she couldn’t help me so she could go home. I tried to ask a question, and they completely ignored me at the door. I can’t believe this is the standard for customer service at this location. Update: Because the teller didn’t want to cash my check, she suggested I use the mobile app which would make a portion of the funds available. For whatever reason, there was an error with the app and depositing the check in the atm caused a duplicate transaction, resulting in a hold on my account. I called customer service and they informed me I could go in and ask to withdraw the money from my savings account until the issue was resolved. I’m pretty sure they must have heard about my complaint because when I arrived, the same two bankers were present and very stoic. I explained how her wrong information resulted in many inconveniences and I was still denied service. I was upset when I heard on the phone that she would have to ask the manager for permission to release the funds, but she never even moved from the desk and just decided, again, that she couldn’t help me. After wasting about an hour here, I drove across town to another branch, explained the exact same information and was able to make the withdrawal with no problem. Needless to say, I probably won’t be returning to this branch even though it’s the closest location to my house. ~Deashia
