Best convenience store in Ypsilanti, Michigan (MI) 2025

I would not shop at this dollar general if your life depended on it. Sherry would not return my items when I came in to make an exchange. She told me that I needed to in “so many words” to go back to the Pinckney dollar general to return my items. It didn’t make sense to me because I live in Ypsilanti. I needed to make an exchange for a project that I was trying to complete for my class at Eastern. I even had a receipt for proof. I also asked her if she could call her manager to see if they could help but she said that the manager could not come in or that she wouldn’t be able to call. She wouldn’t even give me the store number for me to call to ask the manager personally. I also asked if there was a corporate number and she said no, that the store did not have a direct number. Over all I was just very disappointed with the service given that I’ve worked in retail and customer service for going on more than 10 years now. I have learned over the years that you try to do all that you can to help your customer and unfortunately I did not feel this way. I won’t be shopping or doing business here anymore. It was a horrible experience. ~Whitt

I went to speedway and bought a 2 liter pop and a big bag of pork rinds. The cashier asked me if I wanted a bag. I said "yes". She sit a bag on the counter. I then paid for my purchase and she said thankyou, but she never put my items in the bag. I HAD TO PUT THE ITEMS IN THE BAG MYSELF...…WTF! ~Cleveland

Great inside. Nice selection and remodel. I HATE THE WINDOW CONCEPT !!!!!!! This is not in the ghetto !!!! Please stop making people go to a window starting at 7pm for the rest of the night it’s horrible ~Alan

This gas station consistently has the cheapest gas in the area. But the clientele are super discourteous. The owner needs to make it one way in and one way out and it would solve a lot of problems. ~Matthew
