Best chicken restaurant in Ypsilanti, Michigan (MI) 2025

I've had a couple of negative experiences with this location over the past year. However, I recognize that a lot of it has to do with the ongoing pandemic. I visited recently, intending to pick up a quick lunch at the drive thru. I pulled up and waited for a while, before the woman instructed me "Inside only". Okay, I can deal. I just wish they had put up a sign. I get inside, and the older customer in front of me is paying cash. The woman at the counter informs him she doesn't have any coins for change. They go back and forth for a few minutes. Eventually it gets sorted. Then, the manager was talking with another customer instead of helping put out orders. The cashier was doing EVERYTHING on her own. I felt bad for her. Please just be aware if you visit, it might take a while. I was there about 20 minutes (only three people ahead of me). The food is great though! I even got an extra chicken tender. ~Ash

The food was ok very flavorful but not traditional, seasoning was salty & greens were room temp and couldn’t really get them reheated. The banana pudding was disappointing no fresh bananas as well as id prefer cookie/chunks at the bottom the banana chips weren’t needed. And no ice? Very clean with Friendly staff though! And not to mention food came out quick! ~Kamaria
