6 Best convenience store in Clayton, North Carolina (NC) 2025

Hands down the most incompetent staff at the pharmacy I have ever experienced. So today we had three medications sent in for my 4 year old son and it did go to the wrong location. My wife called to see if the medication was ready and Walgreens on hwy 70 business said it was sent to the wrong location and they would have all three ready within an hour. So I went to pick it up and they had only one. When I asked why they said they didn’t get the information. I told her that we called ahead to this location and that you as a staff were aware that it need to be done here. She said it would take 20 minutes. This was after sitting in a line for 30. So I said I would come back but asked before leaving that all would be ready when I came back. She said yes they will be ready. So I come back and now the line is long again so another wait of about 20 minutes or so. I get to the window and come to pick it up and they say they only have two ready now. It has been over 2 hours since I last came to get it. So way past the time they needed. When I asked about the third she said they don’t have any I information on a third. When I told her to check the notes about it being sent to the wrong location. She gets another pharmacist and they talk and then she said she can have it ready in 15 or so minutes. When I said do I have to wait here where I am. No, I have to circle around and get back in line. What in gods name is wrong with the people that work these days. The lack of communication and follow up is stupid. Rant over. ~Jeremy

It looks a little rough on the outside but it’s super nice inside! They have a great selection of just about anything you’d need and the store is clean. We also had a very friendly cashier which was nice. We will be back next time we go pokehunting in downtown Clayton! ~Chelsea

The cash register attendee working on Saturday June 18th was the rudest most unpleasant human being I have come into contact with in a long time. I watched back to back to back customers get verbally abused so badly that 1 of them left without getting anything. She had a massive attitude and clearly hated her job, which she showed by taking it out on the customers. She should be fired. ~Nolan

Don’t normally post negative reviews except the one day I needed this store to be opened on-time. As I type this, it’s 6:12am and they still aren’t opened. People rely on gas and morning caffeine to get their day started. I guess you should not rely on Han-Dee Hugo’s. Here a hint…. Buy a watch. Set an alarm. Be responsible. ~Shonne

This dollar general never stocked up on the items I need. The employees aren't friendly at all. I'd rather drive further to another dollar general or just go to Walmart so I can check out my own items & not deal with rude employees. ~Takecia
