Duck's Cottage

Beautiful spot to add to your trip. Everything about it was charming and fun. The little cottage offers a great selection of books and local souvenirs as well as a great selection of coffee, pastries and drinks. There is a small sitting area at the front, but you may as well take that coffee for a walk and enjoy the beautiful shopping center and the view that you get from the docks. The customer service was good. The store was very busy but we visited early in the morning. I had one of their specialty coffees made with caramel and hazelnut flavor and they were able to make it with oat milk and non sugar. It was delicious. My husband also enjoyed his pastry and coffee. My biscotti was amazing. I'm making this a must stop for my Outer Banks trips, and if you are passing by, take a few minutes to stop here and enjoy this, little but full of life coffee shop. ~Adriana

Donutz On a Stick and Ice Cream

Their thing is just my thing! Ice cream is definitely better than other stores around. It was thick and creamy. The donut was also good. Although the oil smell was kinda strong inside the store but worth it since it was warm and fresh. Almost like a hot brownie with ice cream combination. Hot donut with ice cream is equally a top option. ~Julia

Town of Duck

A beach with a nice small town flavor. Everyone we ran into was kind, the beach was nice and clean, with friendly lifeguards. Duck doesn't have big hotels so there is plenty of room to hangout on the beach. There is also a good set of clean and modernized restaurants and fun shops nearby. On the downside, and I understand how parking can be a problem, but there doesn't seem to be public access to the public beach. ~Karl

Roadside Bar & Grill

This restaurant offers excellent cocktails, delicious food, and a modest menu with a variety of choices. Yes, there are some seafood dishes, but if you want something else, you can find it here. The building gives off a dive bar atmosphere. It's a little rough around the edges and cramped. But wait staff work together as a team and are very friendly and hospitable. Prices are what you'd expect in a resort area. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of parking in the lot behind the building. ~Dina

Ocean Atlantic Rentals

All of the employees I dealt with were very friendly, including those who took my LSV reservations over the phone, those who worked behind the desk at pickup, and those who took us outside for explanation of use. I rented a 6 person LSV in May, and a 4 person (that's all they had left) in July of this summer. They were fun for cruising the side streets and into Duck in the evenings for shopping. Prices were comparable to the other companies I checked with, and I liked using a company that was right in Duck. 5 stars!!! ~Heidi

Sound Feet Shoes

Stephanie is a GEM! She was able to help my aunt find FIVE pairs of shoes that meet her needs with her arthritis and Parkinson’s. She expertly walked us through the pros and cons of each shoe, provided phenomenal information on the brands, and was as kind as she could be. Cannot recommend this store enough - thank you Sound Feet Shoes and Stephanie!!! ~Lauren
