Best american restaurant in Akron, Ohio (OH) 2024

There is nothing more obnoxious than fries that are not fully cooked. They looked good but they are not cooked! The rest of the food was okay, pulled pork really good but I hate half cooked starchy hard fries! Also, the lady who handed me my container was running her nose a lot. It’s a pandemic, stop touching your nose and peoples food. ~Akron

Worst manager on the planet! Incompetent. Derogatory. Condescending. Unprofessional. Undesirable. Demeaning. Incoherent. Untruthful. The despicable redundant excuse of a manager made me go ALL the way home because she just HAD to have the receipt in order to help us! Even after stating we ordered online and had the receipt in the email. She states that’s not sufficient and the physical receipt is mandatory! So we head home to acquire the receipt and upon returning she still has the same outlandish attitude and claims she prepared the order personally! I then ask her how many bags were in the order she looks very confused as she stumbles over her words and tells us to leave before she calls the police. We instruct her to do so and she begins to taunt us stating that’s why we didn’t get our food.then shuts the window and hides in the back of the store somewhere! Worst experience of my life ~Martin

I think this is now 727 GastroPub. The drinks were good and so was the food. The male owner is nice enough but the female owner is not so friendly. They are a husband and wife ownership. I don't know that all of us will be back. The owners don't engage with their customers at all other than the husand is the bartender. He takes your order makes the drink and walks away. It seems as though if you aren't their friend or in their friend group, they don't want to be bothered with you. Prices are on the higher end for both food and drink. Back to Iron Grill till we can find something else local. ~Ellen
