6 Best grocery store in Akron, Ohio (OH) 2024

Never in my life have I seen a store that makes it so difficult to actually give them money. They have self checkouts that no one ever uses because they make you sign up for their credit card in order to use them, otherwise you will have to use the single register they keep open with a line that wraps around the store. Had to wait 10 minutes to pay for 3 items that took 20 seconds to pay for once I got to the front… it’s like this every time I come here, faster just to drive to another store… ~Jamie

The people that work in the store are very nice. However I have went to their pharmacy for years. I was treated very badly in the end. I switched pharmacies as of today. For two reasons. number one they treated me really bad like I was some kind of addict or something because of the type of prescriptions I get but they have no idea of what is going on with me physically and mentally. Number two they changed their generic pills to something different and they do not work. So therefore I am going to Meijer pharmacy. I have received one medication from them before that was not available at drug Mart. Not only were the people so sweet and nice but the medication was better. I hope anyone going to the store for the pharmacy gets better service than I do. And I recommend not getting generics from them if that's possible for you. I'm sorry that I have to post this. I don't like being negative towards anyone. But I can't help but tell my story so other people know!!! I hope for others that you have a different experience because the pharmacy has read this and I hope they start treating people with more respect because they don't know what's going on they only know what you're put on. This Walmart is pretty clean and has pretty full shelves. I love their delivery service, I have Walmart + and get free delivery. They always get my order correct and are only sometimes out of items. I definitely recommend getting Walmart +, when shopping in store I use the scan and go option it really helps me get in and out of the store quicker. ~Jessi

Not a great selection like other Whole Foods I’ve visited. This store was under stocked, not good produce, and the items I specifically went to this location for were not present. The vibe was like a warehouse which was very unlike the exciting intimate shopping experience which is what makes Whole Foods the best. Will not be visiting this location again. Gave 3-stars merely because the sign said Whole Foods and I’m trying to be nice. ~Ryan

Best chocolate ever. Super creamy texture without losing flavor. Excellent choice for boxed chocolate for all occasions but their candy bars are amazing too. Peanut butter cups are way better than Reese’s. Coconut dark chocolate bar is better than a mounds. And they have a solid milk chocolate bar just called The Cleveland Bar. Which is too funny-if you get it. ~Amy
