5 Best discount store in Akron, Ohio (OH) 2024

The people that work in the store are very nice. However I have went to their pharmacy for years. I was treated very badly in the end. I switched pharmacies as of today. For two reasons. number one they treated me really bad like I was some kind of addict or something because of the type of prescriptions I get but they have no idea of what is going on with me physically and mentally. Number two they changed their generic pills to something different and they do not work. So therefore I am going to Meijer pharmacy. I have received one medication from them before that was not available at drug Mart. Not only were the people so sweet and nice but the medication was better. I hope anyone going to the store for the pharmacy gets better service than I do. And I recommend not getting generics from them if that's possible for you. I'm sorry that I have to post this. I don't like being negative towards anyone. But I can't help but tell my story so other people know!!! I hope for others that you have a different experience because the pharmacy has read this and I hope they start treating people with more respect because they don't know what's going on they only know what you're put on. Excellent customer service! We had issues ordering our couch online. We went in the store and explained what happened. They were able to honor the discounts and sales online. We have purchased furniture here multiple times and we will be back when it is time to get other furniture! ~Natalie

Great store layout and extensive inventory selection. It's worth visiting the store as the inventory selection on line wasn't accurate to fulfill my online order. However upon stopping into this store, the products that I was searching for were actually available. Having worked in retail establishments for many years, I understand this is more common than people might expect. The employees were quite helpful and personable. I would recommend this Big Lots to anyone. ~Sharon

I've gone in there about 5 times during the year and they NEVER restock the men's Hanes underwear. They have 3 sizes Small (28 -32 waist) XXL/XXXL (42-52 waists) So really skinny or really fat. The other 85% of people are normal sizes. Not at Rose's. They never have Hanes underwear M, L or XL. But they have probably 150 packs of Hanes tube socks Your ordering choices and or restocking is terrible. Common Sense. Hmm maybe mix in ordering a Medium and Large. ~Patrick

Very different then some other locations I have been to. They do have what you are looking for without boxes all in the isle. Very clean & efficient. Nice employees this is the only one I really enjoy going to so far. It's out of my way, however I will make the trip because I can find what I need without tripping over boxes, check out with my app or the check out kiosk. I have also shopped line and they will have it available when you arrive. Keep up the great service here. ~Tee
