Best hardware store in McAlester, Oklahoma (OK) 2025

I went into Lowes to compare pricing on windows and doors. I’m looking for 14 windows and 3 doors, with that said I was not expecting to place the whole order but I ran into one of the best sales people I’ve see in quite a while. Kevin was so helpful that I place the whole order over $10k and more to buy!! Kevin is super knowledgeable and professional and that saved me time and money. I got back home with the items they had in stock and in less than an hour they where being installed. Bravo Kevin!!! ~Rick

No one greeted. No one offered help. I saw a young man in bright lime green vest and a girl in red shirt chatting. Both work there and I walked up to ask for assistance on buying their chicks. The fellow volunteered and my mother was able to pick out all 20 chicks from the same barrel. It marked at $3.99. As soon as we got to the cashier, the lady noticed that there were all mixed chicks and she said "these feathered feet are supposed to be 8 to 12 dollars and not $3.99. She called the same boy over and asked him about it. He confirmed the chicks were all in one container so someone misplaced them. No one had the knowledge about the chicks and how much the run. I asked many times if I could just get the ones that are $3.99. No one acknowledged my request. The line got really long too but the cashier continued to demand one of the boys to do another task and ignored us completely. They all were unprofessional and not courteous. I was really nice and allowed the person behind me to get rung up. Then after repeatedly asking about selling us the chicks to us. They just walked away and took all the chicks back. We went over to Tractor Supply Company, bought the chicks from there without any complications. Instead, you may want to learn a few tips of how to be a good customer rep like Chris from there. She was very courteous and offered her help before I even had to asked. ~Sue

We had a negative experience and bought a raft, got to our cabin and realized it was missing the oar and pump. We drove back and Jack was less than helpful but Hannah at customer service was amazing! She helped us look until she was out of options. We had to get a more expensive raft which normally would have been frustrating but her customer service was awesome and we appreciate her! Also Edward in fishing licenses was so great, too! Give these employees a raise! Thank you Hannah and Edward! ~Sarah
