McDonald's

Was there around 9pm August 9 2022 Girl at drive thru with a nose ring who said her name was “Ally” was very rude. Argued with me saying I never ordered fries when I said it like 3 times. When I tried to get her back on the speaker she wouldn’t answer. Pulled to the window and asked for fries and said very rudely that I didn’t want them. That never said them. I explained I tried to catch her before she left the speaker that I wanted them because I didn’t see the charge and she said she was busy talking with the next customer, again rudely. She really acted like I was a bother to her and she hated her job. After getting my food these are the “large” fries I got from them. They are cold stale and half empty. ~Leeza

Eat'n Park

As far as the food goes, its mediocre at best. Although the breakfast is my favorite type of food to order, as it is much better than any other type of food on the menu. However as of recently, I noticed the pancakes have dramatically decreased in size over the years. The pancakes used to be the size of the plate, and now are no bigger than my hand. If the pancakes were to be reverted back to their former glory as my go-to pick on the breakfast menu; I would leave 5 stars. Until then, my review stays at 3 stars. ~Ryan

Little City Coffee

What a gem! Nestled downtown, this shop offers a broad selection of teas, coffees, smoothies and such. Their Spring drinks are especially delightful. I added the honeysuckle syrup (made by them) to my tea and it was delicious. You are invited to stay a while by ample bookshelves stacked with books and board games. My favorite spot is the chairs by the sunny front windows. I'll come back again and again. ~Jessica

Monongahela Valley Hospital

My mother was recently at this hospital for a week. I want to say that most of the staff in the CCU were very kind and helpful. However, when she was moved to PCU, that is when things went down hill fast. Communication stopped. If I called to inquire about her, I was met with attitude from the receptionist. Her nurse was extremely vague in telling me her condition, and I never received any calls or updates after she was moved there, unless I personally called and asked. When going to visit, the receptionist will not acknowledge your presence at the window. She will go on about her work until you are forced to say something, but she is right at the window so she definitely notices you standing there. Also, none of the issues my mom had been dealing with were listed on her discharge papers. It had sepsis and diabetes listed, which was not accurate. We didn't question it because we were trying to get out of there. She was not discharged until 7pm, after talking all day since the morning hours about her being sent home. We live 45 minutes from the hospital, so that time in the evening was certainly not ideal. Also instead of the nurse getting her dressed and ready to leave, I was told to get her dressed. I thought that was their job, but I guess not? I had a panic attack because I didnt know what to do with the stuff that was attached to her, and the week had already been extremely stressful with my mother almost dying. Also they removed the catheter and did not give her bladder time to adjust. We didn't know that there was a possibility of her peeing herself or we would have brought towels for the car. She peed herself while getting into the car and started crying because the diaper they had on her was so loose the pee ran down her legs. Also we weren't notified that she would need an oxygen tank brought with us for her to use for the ride home. She was not on oxygen regularly at home and didn't know she needed it once she was discharged. They ended up giving us a tank to take home, but told us we have to return it which means another 45 minute drive both ways. Very dissatisfied with this hospital. ~Lisa

Two And A Fry

Good place for a low cost yet tasty meal. Best known for two hot dogs and fries, the dogs can be topped with sauerkraut, chili or cheese. They also have steak and chicken sandwiches. Seems that everyone around the Pittsburgh area has to mimic Primanti Brothers, these folks have the “All in One” Stacker which includes the meat of your choice plus fries and coleslaw. ~Joe
