I’ve never seen so many rude and disrespectful medical professionals in my life. My father came with stroke symptoms and was left to sit for HOURS before getting a CT scan. When we tried to get updates on results, we were rudely scolded to stay in our room as if we were in prison. The reviews are not dramatic… I don’t understand how they are legally allowed to treat human beings this way. Disgusting.

I came into the ER with extremely high BP and HR and told the registration desk woman that. I could not see I had blurred vision, dizzy, confused, and also I had to bring my 2 year old daughter with me. I was really upset that there were people in front of me that had been taken to triage before me and I had to wait 2 hours in the waiting room feeling as if I would die. I did get to triage and a woman took me back as soon as I told her what was going on. I cannot express the gratitude to the staff that was in the ER of how well they took care of me and even my baby daughter who did so well being that I was there for 8+ hours. I really want to give a huge thank you to Larry, Pamela, Lillian RN, and Dr Jeffrey Tseng, and the radiology clerk who took me back for my CT scan. They had codes going on, too many people in the ER and they acted still as if I was a top priority. I had an abnormal lab that could have eventually killed me very soon had they not acted on it so quickly. You guys have spared my life and my children also could have lost their mother if it were not for you guys. I am so grateful and appreciative. I can relate to the whole situation being in the Healthcare field. It has changed significantly. With people like the staff whom I had just mentioned, they kept that ER running despite all of the other things going on. I know that people have changed since this pandemic and could careless about their Frontline workers, with me being one of them.... you guys have my utmost respect and I am so grateful to have had you. You guys deserve more than what you are being dished out. I hope your higher ups see this and know how much each and every one of you have meant to me. I feel a lot better than when I had came in. Keep up the great work! Pam thank you so much for distracting my little one. You have no idea how much that meant to me and helped me being that I could not function by the time I got back into room 9. Thank you all so much again!

Zero stars but had to add one. DO NOT GO HERE ITS A DEATH VALLEY. Went there my leg was numb couldn't move my head or neck 3 1/2 hours NO ONE CAME IN MY ROOM. I chased down a nurse to tell her I was getting worse how much longer she said I'll check and let you know half hour later NOTHING NO ONE. SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN someone investigate this hospital. No one wonder so many deaths and guess what I went else where and glad I did or I would be dead and now I hired a lawyer.... Shut it down it's worthless and no one cares about THE PATIENCE

My mother was recently at this hospital for a week. I want to say that most of the staff in the CCU were very kind and helpful. However, when she was moved to PCU, that is when things went down hill fast. Communication stopped. If I called to inquire about her, I was met with attitude from the receptionist. Her nurse was extremely vague in telling me her condition, and I never received any calls or updates after she was moved there, unless I personally called and asked. When going to visit, the receptionist will not acknowledge your presence at the window. She will go on about her work until you are forced to say something, but she is right at the window so she definitely notices you standing there. Also, none of the issues my mom had been dealing with were listed on her discharge papers. It had sepsis and diabetes listed, which was not accurate. We didn't question it because we were trying to get out of there. She was not discharged until 7pm, after talking all day since the morning hours about her being sent home. We live 45 minutes from the hospital, so that time in the evening was certainly not ideal. Also instead of the nurse getting her dressed and ready to leave, I was told to get her dressed. I thought that was their job, but I guess not? I had a panic attack because I didnt know what to do with the stuff that was attached to her, and the week had already been extremely stressful with my mother almost dying. Also they removed the catheter and did not give her bladder time to adjust. We didn't know that there was a possibility of her peeing herself or we would have brought towels for the car. She peed herself while getting into the car and started crying because the diaper they had on her was so loose the pee ran down her legs. Also we weren't notified that she would need an oxygen tank brought with us for her to use for the ride home. She was not on oxygen regularly at home and didn't know she needed it once she was discharged. They ended up giving us a tank to take home, but told us we have to return it which means another 45 minute drive both ways. Very dissatisfied with this hospital.

It is very well known that this hospital has a horrible E.R. dept and it will never be addressed. They always reply to reviews how sorry they are, but they REFUSE to address the issue. If you care about patients, prove it and get more staff. Stop looking at the bottom line $$$ and help the people that pay you for your service. There is a definite reason why you're rated less than 3 stars

Please reopen the snack and gift shop......to the way it was “years ago” when they did a great business and their food was edible and appetizing. In the past few years, it has undeniably been mismanaged and the quality of food has been mediocre at best. It used to be a great little coffee/sandwich/gift shop that was enjoyed and appreciated by visitors, patients as well as hospital staff. The hospital needs this amenity more than you may realize. Also, please get the token machines fixed or provide a change machine for the parking garage. Many people are not aware of the outdated $2.00 token dispenser and where do you get change for parking if there’s not a gift shop??? These are minor things that haven’t been updated in years. You’re going backwards instead of forward.

I hope people see this review before going to this hospital. My mother needed emergency treatment. We have been sitting in the ER for over 3 hours. The waiting room is covered in stains all over the floor and furniture. The security guard even warned against sitting on the furniture he said “it’s filthy and covered in urine” The lady at the front desk said “sorry we have no staff to see you and no clean rooms or beds” Needless to say we are going to a different hospital. I have never had an experience like this before in my life. What a dump.

This is the worst hospital in Pennsylvania. If you are hurt and can talk tell the emt they might as well take you to a cemetery. I went here hurt they did 2 x-rays and within not even enough time to clean my cuts they sent me out the door I can barely move from my back and wasn't asking for even an aspirin. I could have had internal bleeding but they would have never known cause all the doctor did was listen toe breathe twice and said I wa fine. DEATH VALLEY suits their name

Was there yesterday for six hours. Having trouble sleeping. Literally havent slept for about four days, just in and out of rest but no real sleep. After about the 4 and half hour mark I finally get to see the doctor. I tell her what is wrong and ask her for some ambien cr. I had take one in the past and it worked really well. She instead gives me some prescription melatonin which did absolutely nothing! This is the third time and the last time I go to this hospital. Been going there for this skin condition and getting steroids which I have stopped, I feel that they, the steroids, have caused the insomnia; the doctors didnt know and they didnt know anything about the skin condition. I have an appointment at a dermatologist on Tuesday for it. I just feel like Ive wasted alot of my insurance money and for that I walk away with nothing to show for it other than misery and alot of time wasted. And I will agree with another post, th furniture to sit on is gross. I try to be nice in life and dont like to leave negative reviews, this is actually my first one ever. I usually just say whatever and move on. I dont know why she didnt prescibe the Ambien?! If there was a reason, I would have liked to been told. Anyway, for my money and health, I will be using another hospital.

Brought my 8 year old son in after he slipped at the pool and hit his head. The woman checking people in was one of the rudest and most inconsiderate people I have ever dealt with. She couldn’t find his pediatrician in the database and would not just skip it for the moment so we could get him checked in and treated. My son is bleeding profusely from the head and she’s acting like not finding his doctor in the database is some huge problem.
