Best bank in Scranton, Pennsylvania (PA) 2024

My boyfriend spoke to different workers on different days regarding his account and direct deposit, not one person decided it was worth it to mention his account has been closed since last year. He recently set up direct deposit for his job and was unable to access his money and the check was bounced. Finally after speaking to yet a 3rd worker, he was made aware of his closed account. If only someone knew how to do their job none of this would have happened. ~Michelle

I'm sure just like every phone call I Have made to Pen Fed this will get me no where. My father passed away a few months ago. Prior to his death I (his son and beneficiary of the account and I had a living power of attorney) tried to get the account in my name as I was worried someone would try and steal money out of his account. Well I even had an attorney involved and the bank kept putting up hurdles to jump until he died and of course someone had transferred money out of his account while he was dying. Now they will not even get me a detailed statement of his account to see what was taken. I have no clue how they can be a federally insured bank. Worst Bank on the planet. RUN!!!! ~Michael

try to get a commerical mortgage for a apt building in Scranton, I have great credit ,income, the rental from the property was cash flow excellent, First National Bank turned me down , they waste your time with getting your documents , after 4 weeks they turn down my application, stay clear of Ruth , she has no clue what she is doing , horrible process, she does not know how look at documents ~steve
