9 Best coffee shop in El Paso, Texas (TX) 2024

I went in this morning to see if they had breakfast sandwiches at the subway inside the store. I see an older lady; long, salt and pepper hair, standing behind the counter of the Subway; talking with another woman who looked like she was preparing something back there. I was standing right in front of the counter waiting for one of them to acknowledge that I was trying to get their attention, but all they did was look at me. Neither one of them offered a good morning to me or a " yes sir, how can we help you"? Not either one of them. They even looked at me like they were mad that I was even there. I felt very uncomfortable. They both just ignored me and I got the feeling that they were being rude to me intentionally, so I just walked away. They didn't bother to say anything to me or ask me what I needed. So. I decided to get coffee, and as I'm getting my coffee and danish. I noticed that the older lady was also a cashier. She must have served 3 or 4 customers while I was getting coffee, and she was very very nice to them; Even laughed and joked with them and made it a point to say good morning to them. As soon as I walked up to the register, she just blurted out 4.50 please; in a rude tone? I was extremely uncomfortable and felt angry at the same time. Why was this woman acting like that toward me? Why me? I didn't say anything to her or give her any dirty look or anything, but she made it a point to go out of her way to be ugly and rude. I bet it was because I was wearing a security guard uniform. Maybe she has something against us. Anyway, I called her up after I drove off, because I was so upset. It turns out she's the manager!😣 Wow! I said, are you serious? You were very rude and ugly to me and ignored me the whole time I was there, and I am reporting you to the main office. She laughed sarcastically and said. Ok! So, my next step is corporate. This is highly unacceptable. ~frank

my original plan was never to leave a review, but the abuse even after leaving this job still occurs and is impacting my life in serious ways. i worked under both Denise & Freddy. my full story would not fit in this description box, so I have included photos of notes I typed up earlier this week. I worked for them for only a few months and encourage anyone looking for employment to look elsewhere. ~jules

My husband ordered the large Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino Blended Beverage cost around $6 and the Cookies & Cream Cake Pop which was around $3.50 ~Arely

Me and my mom stopped at this Starbucks and we where super excited to see some cute cups we ended up buying some and our experience was not so great due to the cashier. She was actually very rude and kept rolling her eyes at me when I mentioned I wanted to scan my app for points and when I was translating for my mom and checking which size of drink my little sister wanted. She was very rude and made my family feel bad as well.After receiving our drinks one of them was not at all what we expected so we kindly asked if we could get it remade or exchange it and the girl that made Us another drink that was way better and we were so happy for her kindness and she was quite sweet. Overall an experience Can change depending on the staff members attitude, this is why I gave it 4 stars even though one was not the nicest the other girl was just the opposite. ~lluvia

Baristas here are pretty slammed all the time. They still manage to stay pretty friendly and helpful. And check out their jack-o'-lantern 🎃 contest! ~nick

Place is this place is horrible! I am an underprivileged person living in my car, a type 1 diabetic and they always usually would let me get ice in a baggie for free and today I was doing so and a cashier lady stares me and asked me what I'm doing. And I informed her that they always let me do that. And she treat me like a liar. She was very rude and she was profiling me. Don't ever go to this place! Customer service is inconsistent and don't look like you're poor or anything like that they will profile you heartbeat! If you want good customer service goes elsewhere!, Not here! ~Mitey

It is a very cozy place. I enjoyed going there and work on my homework. There is a good selection of craft beer and wines. They also serve breakfast. The spicy italian panini its delicious. The outside patio is also very nice and ample. The place is always clean and the employees make you feel at home. Give it a try, you wont be disappointed. I totally recommended. ~Rubas

Diego,was playing a puzzle while I was trying to order. I had to repeat my order 2 times as the first time,he wasnt paying attention. Not only did Diego play the puzzle when i was ordering,he did it with another customer. That puzzle game must be so interesting ~Omar

They react to you wanting a customized drink as if you asked for them to break the law. Instead of making the drink they paid for, they will give you whatever they feel lile making just because you asked for a mug, give you the smallest mug, and then treat you like you're stupid for knowing the difference from a tiny mug to a large mug. The coffee however is great. They are more flavorful and cheaper than Starbucks. The music is inconsistent and makes it difficult to have a good study atmosphere. The music can be too loud. One minute it's salsa music, the next, African drums and singing, and then reggaeton. Music is all over the place. Overall, the service is getting worse. ~Encender
