10 Best auto repair shop in Houston, Texas (TX) 2024

Pumps are crawling at the rate of 5 minutes just to pump $2 and counting. Reporting that the pumps are broken they say no they're not broken, they're just slow. And so is the staff. On a $35 purchase I stopped at 6 to move to another pump which is also slow. They said that the $29 from the first pump will be refunded in a few days on my account. ~MD

The staff here is very friendly and helpful. Working with David, Tony, John and Christina was a wonderful experience. A very clean and comfortable mechanic shop. They took me in as a walk in and put my car up on a bay for me and helped installed parts I got on my own. I had great experiences at this shop. My grandfather has been doing business with Fred for many many years and has never been disappointed. I brought my truck to Fred for weird grinding noises coming from the front brakes. He had his guys take a look at it, they diagnosed the problem and had it fixed. I had my truck back the next day and paid less than HALF of what Firestone tried offering me. Many thanks to Fred and all the guys up at the shop. I will be returning for many more years to come. Overview: I took my 2005 Toyota for an inspection after receiving it back from the collision center after a fender bender. Spent most of the month waiting on the at fault party insurance to cover. Anyhow, it was the last day before my sticker expired. I chose Space Center Automotive for close proximity to work and convenience. The Good: The staff is very friendly, attentive, and helpful. The facilities are very clean and they offer a shuttle service. The Bad: Upon completing my inspection I failed due to a light bulb being out on my license plate and a power steering leak. I completely understand, it doesn't work it doesn't work. The issue I take is with the power steering leak. They advise they can look at it for a fee. This just felt like a cash grab to me. It was more than clear the cap had came loose and some fluid spilled over the side. I took my vehicle to my mechanic on my way home and it was confirmed there was no leak (they replaced the light bulb for cost) and Toyota had certified all components of the car were in proper working order per their inspection process. This was confirmed later no leak existed and the cap had been dislodged upon impact of the vehicle.. I just feel like I was being fished for more cash to diagnose a non-existent problem that would have left me out the cost of inspection plus a diagnostic fee. I would want to give them another shot should another need arise but first impressions are just important and I don't like throwing money at non-existent problems so I don't believe I will be back. ~Jacob

I just happen to need my front License tag place back onto my vehicle. I inquired if they could drill bottom screws to secure it better. Well they did took less than 5 min. Great service and they were kind enough not to charge me. Thank you so much! ~Felicia

Very small crowded store with big parking spots. The store itself is fully stocked, the area where the store is at is alright i guess. It Could use a renovation. ~Ruben

Look I come here all the time the pumps outside barely work? the lady’s in the back are clean and cook great food no complaints here, however the store is just gross tbh the fountain drink station absolutely disgusting do not get a drink here you will get sick!!! ~Juan
