8 Best supermarket in Houston, Texas (TX) 2024

Very crowded but was able to get out quickly. Gorgeous prices here. The fish was SUPER FRESH. All the seafood looked really fresh. Going back to shop tomorrow! As an update, I found out today that it is best to shop here early morning. I got here about 9:45am, and had a great choice of parking spots. I only had to wait in line about 3 minutes! Have the essentials. So one don’t spend more. No crazy crowd as other super markets. Kinda grab and go. You need your own bags or purchase one for $.10 ea. it’s convenient. Staff is overworked, they are short handed despite the huge hiring advertising outside the store, so don’t feel bad if a product has not been restocked ~Domingo

I went to my Neighborhood Wal-Mart and met the most Customer Service oriented, most pleasant, humble, smiling, kind and most adhered to, person in a long time at the Customer Service Desk. His name is (Charles Adewus) and he was fantastic. People like him mulipled by thousands like him is why Wal-Mart will always be successful... Thank You Charles. I will see you again. The Sulpermercado is great, but this is a review about the Panaderia (Bakery) located next door on the left side of the supermarket. The selection of pastries, deserts, and breads is large, items are fresh, and prices are good. I recommend it. ~Tom

Visited after 4 years. Place has definitely improved many folds. Better stocked, neatly displayed and well marked aisles. I would highly recommend for Indian sub continent groceries. Didn't try the restaurant inside. ~Gurpreet

Excellent Mexican food at Rock bottom prices, and no tipping. Very casual, no dress code. One taco 🌮 is so large, it's an entire meal for $2.79. Some people love the beef soup, it's a large bowel with plenty of beef and vegetables for $10.00. It's an entire meal. This is my favorite place to get casual Mexican food 🥑 and it's also a grocery store. ~Qx

This place is like a grocery flea market! Really nice fresh vegetables (I would say double up on the avocados from now on, though...) tons of meats and seafoods, but the prices are what surprised me the most! It was crowded but I can totally understand why! I'll be back again and again... ~Ed
