I pulled up to the store to get gas and a couple of drinks. When I had pulled up to the pump and parked, I had received a call from my wife overseas. We talked for about 45 minutes.
I had planned to log into Uber and queue a passenger while I get gas when I was approached by an officer. The officer was polite and professional; however, the employees completely lacked professionalism and any sort of problem-solving skills. This was an extremely unnecessary interaction with law enforcement.
The employees made no attempt to communicate that they had an issue with me being there for nearly an hour. None of them approached me to inquire why I was there. They frivolously called the police for me to be confronted by an officer before I could patronize the store. Just so you know, it's extremely unbecoming of a store to call the police on a customer for not being in and out having bought their drinks and gas within the hour. It's a bit extreme, and extremely unprofessional. ~Froppy_Root
