Best mexican restaurant in Chesapeake, Virginia (VA) 2024

I felt like I walked in a fiesta. The place was lively with exciting people celebrating birthdays, friends, and family. Friendly servers. Food were good, but It’s a bit bland especially the table-side guacamole and the fajitas. Good thing it came with tasty sides. The best thing was the beer; it’s refreshingly cold. We enjoyed our dinner, so we are going back for more. 👌🏼😊👍🏼 ~Rust

I really like this place because they have authentic Mexican food. They don’t have a lot of options but the food, particularly the tacos, are some of the best in the area. I like that they have cabeza, which is either beef/pork head. The place has a rustic feel, which I personally like. The prices are reasonable especially on weekdays for lunch. The music is appropriate…makes you feel like you’re in Mexico. It is also kept clean, which is always a must! My only complaint is that the customer service could be a bit abrasive and at times poor. Also the fist time I ordered a tamale it was delicious, but the second time it was dry, like they left it in the oven uncovered for too long instead of keeping it in the steamer where it’s typically cooked and can be kept hot until it’s ready to serve. Overall I recommend it and it’s worth a try! ~Dayseye
