Best dollar store in Newport News, Virginia (VA) 2024

Terrible store! Driving through the area on my way home from a vacation and elderly, disabled mother had an urgent need for a restroom. Manger refused to let her and was actively yelling at us. Told us to use the church at the end of the strip mall. Horribly rude and humiliating for my mother. ~Tracy

I like this store. It’s never packed when I go. They usually have what I need and most of the employees are nice except for 1. ~Honest

I stoped by returning from a doctor’s appointment to check for shadow boxes which I use for sea glass art and stickers but of course I bought more which I will take with me on a trip overseas. The building looks new on the outside but the inside did not look new. On the other hand they were fully stocked. Organized and greater selection than the one near my house In Williamsburg. I saw many things to buy but I held back only because of my trip. The cashier was very pleasant. I mentioned to her why the company wastes money with advertising posters on their windows. They don’t have sales but showing some of their items. I sympathize with the employees making little money where they can eliminate the posters and give a little more to their employees. It’s pretty amazing the many excellent quality products they sell. Again I like to emphasize their great selection and every isle stocked. ~Angela
