I would not recommend renting from this office. My wife had problems with a car she rented in Alabama. They did an exchange and the car they gave her was damaged already. She showed him some scratches but he said that they weren't bad enough document. She received no documents of the rental in person or an email. The original office that she rented from did not receive notification that she had exchanged a vehicle. I am highly disappointed . They are trying to make me responsible for the damages that were already on the vehicle. ~Susan

We were able to get an online appointment here two days in advance and check in can be done via your cell phone using the scan code on the front door. Staff are pleasant and helpful. This is a smaller DMV than Manassas but also less busy so we prefer coming here when we need to do anything in person. They are also allowing walk in without appointments but you may end up having a fairly long wait since most people still make appointments first. I overheard a walk in complaining about how long they had been waiting. There’s a reasonable amount of parking on both sides of the building and we had no trouble finding a spot. Overall as good as a DMV visit can be. ~Laura

I have had an account with Middleburg Bank for a couple of years now. I chose to go with a local bank because of the convenience of having a branch close to home that I could use on Saturday's. Well, apparently the bank has merged with another bank and has closed most of the branches. Looking around for other banks to move my account to that offer Saturday hours. ~Wanda

I recently called about 15 other music shops to see if they could help me with something simple and none of them could but I was referred to Drum & Strum by one shop. Gave D&S a quick call and the gentleman who answered was very helpful. Nice drive out to their shop from the Manassas area and another individual (different from the person who answered the phone) immediately help and gave a few options. They carry a nice selection of beginner to top end/professional gear. I’ve been playing guitar for about 35 years and professionally for about 20 and have seen how music shops have evolved over the years. I over heard a conversation with a beginner musician and their mom and this shops reminds me of the stores from my childhood where they really encourage and try to help to make sure you’re getting the right information to make the right decision. Definitely a cool crew with a good selection of gear. ~Dat

Do yourself a favor and just hire a local handyman. It took three weeks to get our two washers repaired. The company they hired to do the repair, Sammy's Appliance Repair in Woodbridge, VA, might have fixed the pumps but the technician incorrectly reassembled the washers - rendering it not possible to drain the water from the drum. He then proceeded to tell us that it wasn't a big deal and then showed no interest in coming back to correct his work after he was supplied with photographs explaining the issue he created. Nothing but delays and incompetence, sprinkled with outright unethical behavior. The Sears of yester-year has been replaced with outsourced, bottom dollar, service that lacks any kind of accountability based on these other reviews I've seen for both Sears and Sammy's Repair. For the everyday stuff they are an ok choice. But it's disappointing if they're offering a service for passport pictures, yet the staff is unfamiliar with the process for passport pictures for countries other than the USA, while they have a computer program installed that helps with e.g. the size and other country requirements. Not having the machine to cut the passports pictures to the required size, leaves them truly lacking in that area as well. It would be best to say you only provide US passport pictures. ~Frida

Coming to photograph the District of Columbia, I could't help myself but stop by this quaint mom and pop camera store. As a professional photographer for National Geographic, I have been to hundreds of camera stores. McClanahan Camera exceeded my expectations in all regards. They had a great selection of both products and services, and the staff was extra friendly. When I go to photograph the elusive White Snow Leopard in the Himalayas, I will make sure I will visit McClanahan camera before. ~Jose

Overdrive Motors is amazing! Mo, Jasmin and the others were so nice. They answered all of our questions. Their vehicles are very clean. You can tell they take pride in their business. That's not true of all used car dealerships. We know, we've been to them. The truck we purchased looked even better in person than it did in the pictures. That's rare for a used vehicle. We are so pleased with our purchase, we've been telling everyone where we got it from. Thanks guys for an amazing experience!! We will definitely be back! ~Candace
