Do yourself a favor and just hire a local handyman. It took three weeks to get our two washers repaired. The company they hired to do the repair, Sammy's Appliance Repair in Woodbridge, VA, might have fixed the pumps but the technician incorrectly reassembled the washers - rendering it not possible to drain the water from the drum. He then proceeded to tell us that it wasn't a big deal and then showed no interest in coming back to correct his work after he was supplied with photographs explaining the issue he created. Nothing but delays and incompetence, sprinkled with outright unethical behavior. The Sears of yester-year has been replaced with outsourced, bottom dollar, service that lacks any kind of accountability based on these other reviews I've seen for both Sears and Sammy's Repair. My Kenmore Fridge quit cooling last week. Called Sears and they sent “a&e factory repair” to diagnose. After 5 minutes of unscrewing the back plate and using a voltage meter and flashlight, the tech said I needed between $1600 and $1800 in repairs OR I could buy their home warranty. I don’t think the tech actually diagnosed anything in that short amount of time. I’m aggravated that SEARS wasted my time and just sent a salesman and not a repair technician. When my husband called to request a repair technician return to properly diagnose the fridge, he was put on hold/transferred 3x and then they hung up. I will be disputing the $99 diagnostic fee with my credit card company and will definitely not use Sears repair in the future. Service: Refrigerator repair

* I loved my technician Sayad today! He was great ! And super professional, and super helpful! I give him 10 stars if available ! I cannot say the same about the company in general! I have had the worst experience with them! They do not care about customer service and the stress I have gone through being without a oven for three months! My technician on the other hand did care! ZERO stars if possible. DON'T EVER TRUST THESE PEOPLE! I called to have the flame adjusted DOWN on my LP gas cooktop. The "technician" replaced the LP gas valves with the natural gas valves and called it a day! The flames were like a bonfire! He didn't even use new plumber's tape when he did it which meant gas could leak and blow up my house! These people don't know what they're doing. They are dangerous! i just had it repaired correctly and saw exactly what the SEARS "repairman" did to endanger my family! Service: Stove & cooktop repair

Repairman came and looked at dishwasher. He said it needed a new circuit board control. Cost would be over $400. I told him that seemed excessive and refused the service and paid for visit. I went on line and checked the price on the part that he said was needed. It was $139. I ordered the part intending to replace it myself. I accidentally ordered the wrong part (which it turns out was the right part). Installed it myself and now dishwasher works perfectly. So the repairman made the wrong diagnosis and I am just out the cost of the service call. Service: Dishwasher repair

What was once a great company has become the absolute worse customer service I have ever experienced. The first technician that arrived refused to provide a written estimate and attempted to charge for repairs covered under warranty. After Sears confirmed the repair was covered by warranty they have made multiple appointments and then not shown up to perform the work. I believe they have no interest in honoring their warranty. Their customer service phone number is a call center with scripted employees who all tell you that you reached the right person, but they are totally incapable of actually affecting any help. I believe the current ownership of Sears has absolutely zero interest in actually reviving the once excellent company, but is only trying to squeeze the last pennies from it's dying corpse. Due yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere so you avoid the wasted time and frustration I have experienced. One star seems like one too many for this company. Service: Refrigerator repair

worst service. I have an issue with my washer ever since I purchased it from Sears. A tech has came over 20 times to fix the same issue. I have been waiting on parts for over a month. The sears representatives said that warranty is just for service not intended for new items. I will not buy from them again just a rip off they not care about the inconvenience they put you through waiting more than a month on parts. I was told by a rep that I should be able to qualify for a new washer now they told me that it doesn't meanwhile I have to wash at washeteria being exposed to covid situations. I requested to speak with supervisor in warrany part dep named Ray never got a call back the end of day 12/08/20 like they said.Now on 12/25/20 I get a response back bs honestly. I would not recommend any sears warranty to anyone

Our technician was on time, polite, friendly and very knowledgeable. Our fridge is 11 years old and some of the parts needed are no longer available but our Tech was able to repair what we had. I noticed he was helping other techs with answers to problems while he worked. I wish I could request him personally for any future repairs we may need. All our appliances have been bought Sears and he definitely meets your high standards of service!!

Requested maintenance on my tractor as it has been a while since had done. Wanted to full service completed (Air filter, plugs, oil filter, fuel filter, oil change) and new blades. I had the service rep to ensure they put on the ticket to have the new blades or please reschedule as I have a hard time taking off work. Tech came, didn't have blades. Blamed customer service rep and said it wasn't on the ticket. He explained very thing else I wanted to have done and he said no problem he would call me when complete. He called me about 45 min later to tell me he was done. I was like wow that was fast. he said he completed all the work in wanted (Air filter, plugs, oil filter, fuel filter, oil change) and I was good to go. Upon him leaving I drove the tractor in the shed and thought as I was looking at the ticket It seemed a bit low. I lifted the hood and checked the air filter. It wasn't changed and the pre filter was not even on straight and tangled around the filter. So i called him and he said "Oh no I did not change the filter and the plugs as your tractor was running really nice". I told him it runs nice because I keep things up to date before they break and I had requested all the work to be done. His reply was "well I didn't want to you to waste your money". Well i paid $48 in parts and $149.00 in labor. Im like WTF I could have done that for that money. Sears response when I called customer service was "we will reschedule the appointment with no problem and give you another 3 hour window". Does sears think people can just wait around all day in hope that they do their job correctly? I will never use Sears again as this is why I stopped using them again. I will just go back to taking care of my tractor my self as it seams Sears cant follow directions.
