8 Best grocery store in Appleton, Wisconsin (WI) 2024

Best homemade Kimchi is here! I used to go to Mitsuwa, Chicago all the way from around Appleton. But this is enough for me and they have good products and affordable price if I think about gas price. They have some Japanese products as well like Yakisoba noodle, Natto, Gyoza, Ramen and some seasonings. FYI if you come to this store first time, you might feel uncomfortable like watching. Owner looks unfriendly at first impression. But actually not once you coming multiple times. I think that's the way. ~Yama

Cleaner than I remember. Nicer than most visits. Seems like they had enough people working today. Had exactly the items I needed (El Pato) for Tuesday Tacos. No lines. No wait. Parking was easy and relatively close to the entrance. Good prices too. ~Chris

My favorite grocery store. They have a great variety, great prices, the staff is always super helpful. Now add in their gas rewards and it is top match. They run great sales. The lines are never backed up. If you do self check out and get stuck with some thing there is someone right there to help you. Love shopping here ~Kymberly

Anything you need is available, but the store is HUGE! Be sure to wear sensible shoes. I got lost a few times but thank goodness there's a map at the end of the isles. I needed perogies and normally I'm lucky to find one type well here there was more than i had ever seen (pics attached) ~Bridget

Pretty long line at the service desk with only one associate *actually* working. Three associates were talking amongst each other off to the side (still behind the service desk). I gather it was a work discussion, but could they wait for the line to get down first? It didn't feel great for their conversation to take precedent over a line of customers. ~Christopher

Most supermarkets are known for not being the cleanest places out there, but Meijer is definitely and exception. It has a very pleasant atmosphere and is always well maintained. It has a great selection, with spot where you can get fresh-made sushi, shoes, and there’s a huge clothing selection, along with the large food selection that’s scattered all over the area. There are greeters at the doors, and the entire staff is very kind and helpful; I’ve never had a bad experience here. It has just about everything I need and I definitely enjoy it here. ~Ethan

This is the best market I have been to in the area for authentic Mexican food. You can purchase carne asada taco meat by the lb. (my favorite so far). In the past I have purchased amazing guacamole made fresh. I’ll be back for sure. ~Robert

I always enjoy shopping at Costco. Great deals, employees are friendly and kind. They work very hard, professional, and efficient. Today I want to thank Haley for being especially helpful at the end of a shift. That commercial where they talk about not becoming your parents?
