This company is so greedy! They want my husband to pay for insurance for a vehicle that was TOTALED OUT because of a wreck that happened on 6/6/2022! First of all, this company owes us a reimbursement for the past month's insurance payment. I do not recommend Safeway to anyone!

I had the worse claims adjuster in the world. We were hit by a Safeway insured vehicle in Jan. I asked her about getting a rental because my car wasnt going to be even put in the shop until April. Finally got one after threatening to get a lawyer in April. When I was at work got a call from Enterprise that she hadn't paid for my rental. I had to call her once again to get it paid. Then when my car was ready at the end to pick up she had cancelled my rental. Tried calling her for hours. Finally got ahold of someone who called the supervisor. She authorized payment. I pray I never have to deal with these people again. But if I do I'm getting an attorney.

When your client is at fault it is your legal obligation to pay for the damages caused by your client. When a high end perfect condition vehicle is damaged you don't put after market parts and expect to take it to some 3 rate place. So pay up or we will get you to pay more than just the repairs after my attorney gets involved. Enough is enough. Pay the body shop so I can get my car back.

A policyholder with this company hit my car admitted fault. Company is very slow to respond to claims. Waited 5 days for a return call. When the adjuster finally did call back she was nasty and spoke in a condescending tone. Learn to communicate or just pay the damages and you would not have to deal with calls. I hope I never have to deal with insurance company again. Don’t sell policies if you do not want to do your job.

Safeway should change their name to, we take the long way or the scenic route. I canceled my insurance on May 3rd and my payment wasn't due until May 5th, but they still took my money. It's May 21st and I have yet to receive a refund, WHAT????? THE same way you took my money, is the same way you should have returned it. NOT making me wait until you are ready to put it in the mail and make me wait even longer. 👎👎

Update: Finally spoke with someone after calling back again, rental was called in should be receiving an email. Got the email at 423pm, great news right? Nope, rental place closed at 4pm and is closed all weekend! Thank you again for screwing us!! And thank you again for NOT having a supervisor return a call! Your company is garbage!! Update: We are now over a week without a car. The police report was sent to Safeway this morning. We have left 2 emails and 2 voicemails and 2 messages with the receptionist, not one has been returned! Today is Friday, this means we will be going into yes another weekend without a rental! By the way, it is Safeway’s insured’s fault! Fingers crossed you never get into an accident with someone that has Safeway Insurance! The accident is fault of their insured. It has been almost a week and we are still without answers and still without a rental! They refuse to return calls or emails. Calling to speak with a supervisor is also a joke as they have to “review” the file and you hope for a call back. It is like dealing with an insurance company from a third world country. I am sorry we have not tried to send smoke signals to get some answers. I wonder how these people sleep at night. Department of Insurance complaint will be filed, maybe then there will be some resolution.

🚨UPDATE:🚨 Received a phone call from Safeway concerned about my review and wanted to see if anything could be done or explained about my situation. The explanation was basically how Safeway is right, you’re wrong and your body shop is wrong too. We didn’t get after market, or used parts so they ain’t paying. The only reason Safeway is getting one star is because I can’t give them zero stars. I was hit by a client of theirs, and the client admitted fault and then that’s when the frustration started. They were terrible about retuning phone calls and getting things worked out. Ultimately they refused to pay for OEM parts on my car. This accident was not my fault, but I was supposed to inferior parts put on my car. So I had to pay to get my car out of the shop. Absolutely refused to do the right thing. I will go out of my way to tell people stay away from this insurance company. If you have an accident with one of their clients just be prepared. It probably won’t be a good experience.

So 6 days ago my car was totaled mo fault of mine own got all the information a safeway rep informed me that I would be hearing from them in 2 days about a rental car and some options. Well I haven't heard from the called left messages. Nothing Yesterday I called my agent at Progressive they told me they will send someone out by Safeway hasn't started a claim How are they in business

The absolute worst insurance company other than Imperial Fire and Casulty. An illegal immigrant hit my car and ran while on camera. Imperial fire wouldnt pay so I was stuck using my insurance. Safeway has been a horrid experience. I had to go over my adjusters head to the manager who apparently straitened everything out and told me I wouldnt have anymore problems. But now once my car is ready the adjuster Tim McBride is going to make sure he makes everything difficult .I'm so over it. As soon as my policy is over I'm switching companies. It's worth to pay more at the bigger places than to deal with this fly by nite insurance when something happens. Very angry. That adjuster couldn't work for any other company well,except IMPERIAL fire and Casualty
