I was in Lake Charles for a short period of time, but still wanted to keep up Muay Thai training--PE Training was a great gym-home away from home! They worked with my schedule and were really welcoming. I'll definitely come back if I'm in Lake Charles again!

Loved the classes here for me and my kids, and the instructors were extremely patient with my son (who can be a pain to deal with some times). The only thing that bothered me was my kids' classes were set on a recurring payment schedule, and I hadn't noticed it will still deducting from my bank account until several months after they had to stop taking classes. Wasn't able to get my money back either

This is going to be a lengthy review. If you want a summary then skip to the bottom. Wasn't entirely sure about the place at first. They seem to be awesomely patient as I explored their gym. I have been going for over a year. It has options that range from Bang Muay Thai, which is an excellent striking centered style for MMA or self defense, some occasional grappling options, basic membership options which is what I signed up for at first while I looked at the rest of the options, paintball, scuba, ninja warrior/obstacle course training, strength and conditioning training(athletic workouts), and functional strength training(warrior workouts). I spent around a year with the basic membership just coming to the gym and using weights, jump rope, hitting the boxing bags and kicking the Thai conditioning bags, and occasional trying some obstacles. During this time I would try a class at a time here or there to see what they had to offer. When I tried the Thai classes I was impressed. They are organized into fundamentals which are for everyone, intermediate which prep people for sparring/advanced, and the sparring/advanced which are only for people willing to risk getting beat up. I found them to have a great collection of skilled combined amateur and professional fighters to work with, all of whom help to the appropriate levels in learning their system. The ninja warrior courses are oriented around preparing for a "Dragoon Challenge". It is a good system in my opinion. If you wanted to improve parkour, obstacle skills, or ninja warrior they would be a great place. I was confused with regards to their grappling options but found them to be randomly integrated with the Bang Thai classes. They have a lot of MMA fighters with backgrounds in Wrestling, BJJ, and Judo and given the MMA oriented system they just mix it in right along with the rest. They all seemed open to helping someone cross train in virtually any style they wanted to learn as long as they had someone available to help teach that style at the time. I still haven't tried the paintball or scuba so I can't review them yet. I have tried the Warrior workout and was very impressed. It felt a bit over complicated at first making it hard to follow along with. That critique set aside, the quality and intensity of the workout were both amazing, the willingness of the strength and conditioning coach Zack to help was always present, and the functionality of the training was exactly as they had promised. It was a well designed course. Josh appears to be the lead martial arts instructor and Zack appears to be the lead strength and conditioning coach. Ned appears to be the leading expert on Ninja warrior related tasks but I explored that less than the others. All in all, Josh was a great martial arts instructor, Zack a great strength and conditioning coach, and Ned a surprisingly skilled ninja. I took a year before writing this and believe all of them are passionately committed to their positions and customers. I would recommend them. -Mufasa the Chainbreaker

Had the most awesome experience at the Duane Ludwig Seminar here. Really nice gym , good people, and food at the end. Lots of ninja sprinkles to take away from it and add to my game.

Attended Duane Ludwig Bang Seminar today July 20th at PE. Great training facility, professional coaches, and just an all around good team environment. If you live in Lake Charles, LA and are looking for life improvement, do yourself a favor and check out Performance Evolution.
