Cool international grocery spot with other assorted wares. I stopped in to purchase Sofrito for a chili base and noticed they had a kitchen. Mission accomplished on grocery item and tasty food. The Bistec Ranchero was spot on. Great portion size and price. Cashier was nice and said people often come for the tacos. I will be back to give them a try.

This place is authentic as you're going to get with Mexican cuisine. The restaurant is in the back of a great little market with just about anything you'd expect in one. Legitimate, rice-based horchata is available amongst the drink options. Their food menu has everything you'd expect from traditional Mexican restaurant. I ordered steak tacos with onions and cilantro on corn tortillas as you'd get from a "street taco" vendor and absolutely loved them. The house salsa and Verde sauce were both excellent as well. The staff was friendly but unobtrusive. I almost don't want to post this so I'm not fighting a crowd in the future! It's a great hidden gem of a place for lunch.

Moving from California to Monroe I have experienced alot of canned/boxed rice and beans and over cooked tortillas. If you want some good Mexican food that reminds you of a all authentic taqueria this is the place to stop at. Best Mexican food in town!

Nothing like the real deal. If you are for real Mexican food this is the place. Tex mex not even close.

My son likes this restaurant for tacos more than any other Mexican restaurant. I think it's good, but I like newer buildings.
