Best bread in the area! All of the nut and fruit breads are incredible! I would recommend ordering early and reserving your bread. They sell out very fast. The listing says cash only but they do accept check as well.

My family and I absolutely LOVE the bread, pastries, and cookies from Black Crow. The amazing quality of the items, combined with the truly unique/quaint/rustic vibe of the bakery makes this a must-see spot for every guest we host!!

One of the unique places in area. Wide variety of classic breads. Have sampled all of them and they are all my favorites. Their traditional brick oven is a classic. The large chocolate chunk cookies are addictive. Breakfast pastries are great.

I love this place. Some of the best bread, pastries, and cookies I’ve ever had. In love with the place and the honor system they use. Get there early, they run out quickly!

Love, love, love this bakery! My sister used to live a couple miles from here and every time I would visit from WA state this was a mandatory stop. She moved back home a few years ago and I still dream of this place and I will somehow be back. The ginger molasses cookies are amazing, the breads, the pastries...can't recommend it enough!

This place is a complete joke. Went on Saturday morning at 730 am not one thing for sale except 3 cookies from who knows when and one loaf of corn bread. Very dirty establishment and none would answer the phone ,, I would give a zero , or a negative 5, but a one star is the lowest. So if you are only expecting a let down and joke , stop on in and find that all you did was insure not to ever go back, to the black crow bakery

Just moved back to the states from France. As a newbie to Maine, this was a real treat!! It was about 4:30pm and already dark outside. We walked into a dark doorway next to an 'Open' sign. Then to the right, above some steps, see another door with a soft light coming through it with a sign saying "come on in" (or something like that).. Arrive to a wonderful smell of bread and a wood-fired oven. But nobody there... We wait for 3 or so minutes.. I knock on another door in the room connected to the house.. Nobody answers.. Then I try calling... goes to voicemail.. then I go outside and ask the fellows working outside "Where do I go to get the bread as nobody is there?" He starts to show me where to go, explaining, "here, you choose what you want and drop cash in the box, there is change in there if you need it"..I replied, "oh ok, I saw the tin and I know where to go, so thank you, have a nice evening" he wished me the same and I went back into the shop. We didn't know which bread to get as they all looked amazing, we picked up the 'Tuscan' loaf for $4.00. It's a great bread, warm to touch, crispy exterior with a nice chew.. Super excited to find this bakery!! Def the only place we'll be buying our bread from!! In France, you'll find old villages with a stone oven open to the public. They're not in use anymore but were there for locals to bake their own foods!! And of course, many villagers baked their breads in them. Always wondered what that bread would taste like.. Now I know and I love it! Thank you other google reviewers for your reviews, without them, I wouldn't have discovered this place! Very happy NEW customer! Thank you Black Crow Bakery! Looking forward to trying all of your breads!

Neat authentic bakery. It doesn't get any homier than this for a bakery. The bread is real good too!! It wasn't Saturday so I didn't have the pastries. Wood fired bakery.

The best wood-fired brick oven Old World sourdough breads that can be purchased in Central/Southern Maine. And a very eclectic and unique bakery shopping experience.
