Nov. 1, 2022: Would give a ZERO (0) if possible. We had high hopes for this COSTCO recommended "partner", but they were really unresponsive. Met with their rep. Lauren (out of the Chantilly, VA location) on 9-2-22 who worked up an approx. $$ estimate and stated she would follow up with us. We also had scheduled with a different closet company (located out of Manassas, VA) later the next week - thank goodness. Closet company #2 was less expensive by about $1,000 (Closet Factory was to issue about the same $1,000 of savings to us via COSTCO cash card), but Closet company #2 got their proposal to us the next day, and followed up with us twice before we made a decision to go with them. Additionally, closet company #2 offered the option of 12 months NO INTEREST financing with Wells Fargo which we qualified for, and took. We were only contacted by Closet Factory on 11-1-22 via an email stating they were "touching base" with us and that their rep. Lauren, was no longer with the company. Sorry, but that type of "service" by Closet Factory stinks and we will be letting COSTCO know about this and asking that they (COSTCO) reconsider if they want to be associated with the Closet Factory. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS WITH CLOSET FACTORY. Steve & Jennifer Crichton ADDITIONAL INFO ON 11-1-22: We received a "Sorry for the bad experience" type email today from Sales Mgr at Chantilly Closet Factory, which was nice, but about 60 days too late for a sale since we have already purchased a closet system elsewhere. We will have to stand by our review that we received bad service - or really NO SERVICE - at Closet Factory.

I highly recommend Susan Davis Bengel as an expert and professional designer who will deliver a beautiful and efficient closet. From the first interaction with Susan, I could tell she truly was focused on my needs and wanted to ensure I felt heard. The entire process, from the initial discovery meeting, to the design and then coordination of install, was much easier than I expected thanks to Susan. One thing I really appreciated was how she set expectations, ensuring I wouldn’t make any assumptions about the product, process or timing. She also remained in contact with me, so I had all the information I needed. I never felt pressured or hurried and enjoyed the experience of working with her. She designed exactly what I needed. Frank also did an amazing job installing. He was meticulous with the install and clean up after. He also made sure I knew how to adjust the rods and shelves properly. I am THRILLED with my new closet space. I also appreciate that as my needs may change I have the flexibility to rearrange the closet to best fit my needs. Thank you Susan and Frank!! If I could give all the stars in the universe to anyone, I would give them to Kim and Nick at Closet Factory. They exceeded our expectations by infinity. Hey management, you've got two Super Stars here! Take good care of them! Kim was our designer and Nick was our installer. I have high expectations, an eagle eye and know enough about construction to be dangerous thereby making is very hard to make me this happy. Our project included: - Remodel of existing builder grade master bedroom closet consisting of cheap hangers and cheap shelves - Remodel of existing builder grade mud room consisting of remanufactured pin cabinets painted white - Remodel of existing builder grade kitchen window breakfast seating are Let's start with Kim, my designer. She makes dreams come true! It took us a while to pull the trigger on our project (about a year) and when we finally came back to do so, she was ready and didn't throw us any attitude about it. Excellent at listing to our needs, making suggestions, coming up with new ideas and providing information before we even had the chance to ask. He sense of style and savvy are wonderful. All this resulted in a smooth operation and a perfectly perfect project. Nick did an amazing job with installation. From start to finish, Nick didn't throw his tools and materials around or put them on your delicate furniture, he was organized, thorough, clean, efficient and friendly. The result was impeccable work. I wish I could have hired Nick to build our house :) Kim and Nick were both: - Timely - Communicative - Friendly - Patient - Knowledgable - Forthcoming - Excellent Problem Solvers - Excelent Listeners - Extremely Qualified - Honest - Wonderful Work Ethic - And more :) Thanks Kim and Nick for taking such good care of us! Jodi did several closets and a pantry for us. We needed to maximize all storage since we had downsized substantially. I can not believe how much space she was able to negotiate in the closet and pantry. With 10 foot ceilings some designers ignore the top foot or two... Jodi used every inch! I love my closets! We worked with Susan Davis Bengel and she was great! She listened really well and understood what we were looking for. She helped us design our dining room curio cabinets. She went ahead with our request for less depth cabinets, even though that is not the norm and they worked really well in the small space that we had. We also selected our own custom hardware and were not pressured to use those provided by closet factory. The custom lighting in the cabinets were also sleek and an added bonus. Both cabinets look beautiful in our small dining room and provide lots of storage space. Susan worked with our small budget and small space. We would definitely work with Susan again for our custom cabinetry needs.

The Closet Factory designer, Susan Davis Bengel, was doing a home office and some closet work in the condominium in May 2019 where my condo is located in the Outer Banks of NC. I had the chance to meet the Closet Factory installers while they were doing prep work in our garage. I contacted Susan and made an appointment to discuss some improvements I wanted to make in my condo. I had Closet Factory makeover two bedroom closets, a linen closet and installed a pantry in my laundry room next to my kitchen. Our closets were small and limited. Susan is a great listener and was a pleasure to work with. She really spent time getting the best design to utilize all of the space. The resulting efficient closet design is a real pleasure for my wife and I now. However, the Pantry is the outstanding accomplishment. We now have a marvelous pantry just a few steps from my kitchen which doubles our available storage and makes meal prep far more efficient! (See Pantry Pic) We were so pleased with Susan and the VA Beach Installation crew that I called Susan back to design and make some bookshelves and home theater storage in our living room. We picked some materials that blended beautifully with our stone fireplace and it came out great!. We have had many compliments from visitors! (See Bookcase Pic) All work was completed on time. Working with Susan was a pleasure. The installers were very proficient & professional. I couldn’t be more pleased with how everything turned out.

We absolutely LOVE our closet. Kim was great to work with, most importantly she listened to our needs and delivered. The design was exactly what we were looking for. She went above and beyond making the most of the space we had to work with! She suggested the window seat which added 3 extra drawers of storage and its a great place to sit and put your shoes on :) The quality of everything is great all around. Especially love the double decker accessory drawers options we chose for the island. The whole project was completed in a timely manor and installed in just a day or 2. Thanks Kim for making my dream closet become a reality!

We worked with Sheila and team to design and install three bookshelves. The design process was collaborative -- she really listened! -- and we ended up with something that better fit the space than our original thoughts. Install took two days and the team did great work, worked neat, arrived on time, and communicated clearly when they needed day-of decisions. We only have some of the books shelved so far, but everything is working really well. We are able to adjust the shelves, as needed, and they're holding the amount of weight we expected. Great value -- we don't think we could have put in as many shelves worth of non-custom, pre-made shelves for this same price. We're so happy we're working with the team to install two wall units for storage in a hallway.
