If would have some peace of mind and deal with an honest company: stay far away from DOLLAR RENT A CAR and especially from the Copley Place station (the Marriott). I booked a car for one day (midsize SUV) from 08h30 to 17h00. - We had to wait until 09h15 before being handled by the staff - The ordered GPS was not installed, simply given in a small bag - Just received the key with the indication «the car is just over there..." - We check the car before leaving and it had several body damaged - Staff first refuse to mention the damage over the pickup voucher... after threating to cancel our booking they accept to mention the larger damages As the station close at 3PM, the staff told us that as we were hotel customers, we could return the car to the hotel wallet and give us a returned form to be laid down on the dashboard. Easy, that's what we have done. 2 weeks later, back in Europe, I got a letter from this company saying that I haven't returned the car... That I have to take contact with them (but with their HQ in Tulsa) to organize the return !! Try to get contact by phone (fail to get in touch with the right guy), sent an email (no answer) and sent a registered mail (never answer!). I try to get in contact with the Copley Station but there is simply no phone number and no email ! After 3 weeks, DOLLAR RENT A CAR debited me for an amount of about 2700 $ !! This company refuses to communicate with me, never give me any explanation about the amount. You have to be aware that such story can happened to you too... so prefer Hertz at the airport, they are professional and we had a good experience there from a previous trip in Boston.

My experiences are nothing but 5 stars in this place. Though I read the reviews but my experience with Mike and his buddy is above expectation. Mike at the front desk is very pleasant to talk to, she is mindful of his customers need and also offers extra services. I recommended this place and look for Mike when you call. I usually see him during Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays - but if you have him on the front desk rest assured he will give you the best service! Unlike the other person that I dealt with when Mike was not there. I hope they give him a promotion or give him something as Mike is really a good person - I am in no way related to him, the first time I rented he already was accommodating and has a stellar customer service!

Fabulous experience,don't listen to bad reviews.Rental agent was extremely helpful and friendly.He even gave me a free upgrade to a brand new car!Considering I am a first time Dollar customer,I think that was great.Only drawback is no after hours drop off during the summer.

If i could give 0 out of 5 I would!!! DO NOT rent your car from here even if it is cheaper!!! They charged me twice for rental insurance and will not refund my money, they gave me a car with a flat tyre and I had to drive 1.5 HOURS away from Atlantic City to get to a Dollar area to swap my car out which RUINED my holiday!!! The customer service advisors are ABSOLUTELY RUDE and do not care for the problems, have NO managers to handle any issues!!!!

Terrible. I went to return the car and no one was there. They had gone home early for the day. I had to go back to the valet attendant and make sure he marked that the car was on time then I had to call the next day to verify only one day was charged. Too much work get a zipcar. Also ez pass is in the car and you are encouraged to use it but they charge you 15$ on top of each toll you go through. Very expensive trip.

I made a reservation at this location, and arrived at the confirmed time/date to find that they were sold out and had no cars. Totally unprofessional, and then when I called customer service they put me on hold for 20 minutes before I gave up. I will never rent from Dollar or this location again.
