The staff was super friendly and helpful, we were looking for information and they helped us understand the music instrument we needed for our son. They weren't pushy at all so we were happy to buy here. We will come back for future needs.

I get all my gear here. I've always been taken care of. I miss my salesman Vinny. It's nice to be recognized by name when you go into a store you've spent tens of thousands in. Maybe the new crew will pick up on that someday. But overall a great bunch of guys. I've had a few returns and been to the repair shop a few times. Never an issue as well.

I've been buying my gear from guitar center forever. I prefer brick and mortar stores over online for so many reasons. But this is a bad story. And has left an irrevocable bad taste in my mouth. I will never purchase anything from guitar center again after my most recent interaction with them. So, here goes... Like everyone else these days im falling on hard times so I brought in my Maschine mk3 to sell. The price wasn't great but it is what it is. 290.00 bucks for an 800 used Maschine. When the associate handed me the cash he said " Here's your 240.00." I did a double take as I thought they told me 290.00. But there was no receipt. So, I figured I heard wrong and took the money. I called the store from the bank where I was holding in my hand the 240 making my deposit only 20 min. later to ask about the receipt they had on file and he , sadly, told me it was in fact 290.00. So, what happened to the 50.00 bucks!?! But this is not why I'm writing this review. See, I already excepted the loss of fifty bucks as their associate flat out stole from me, knowing that I was selling my favorite toys to cover bills. The reason I'm writing this is because I called them, not to get my money back, but to inform them they had miscreant in their midst. THEY CALLED ME BACK later that night and said they would honor the fifty despite the fact they couldn't find any proof on the stores cameras, and to come pick it up. So I made the twenty minute trip to the store the following day just to get a manager who was snarky to me about having no obligations without proof to give me anything. As he acted like I was trying to get something for free. I never asked or demanded the money. Ever. They Offered it. They called me! It was THIS incident, above and beyond being ripped off by one of their associates, that affirmed I will never do business with that store again. Ever! How humiliating. I never wanted the fifty in the first place despite my destitution. As I knew it was my word against his. I just wanted them to know. I was thinking it was unbelievable that they would even consider giving me the money. I was gracious and appreciative and thought that was unnecessary as it wasn't guitar centers fault. But the behavior when I showed up...speechless. Humiliating. Never again Guitar center. Over fifty bucks. AMS, Musicians Friend, here I come!

Braintree Store manager Dan.. I Bought brand new Mackie's Thump 12A Less than a year ago.. one sounds really low doing a charity Autism event 7/31 and this has to be maybe the 4th or 5th time using them.. Anyway one is not working its really really low.. I called the 800 number they refer to the store saying no problem nice lady. I called the store because I know I have a yr warrantee trying to explain to the guy what happened no solution brush me away I always shop there but reasons like this is why they give people true mining why they should go on line to shop Sad because I run a business and I like to keep people employed by going to stores and keeping that tradition going you refuse to help or listen might as well stick to Amazon sweetwater or even Walmart online are starting to carry name brand equipment..

Guitar tech Dave is the man🤙🏻🤙🏻really helped me out… when I was absolutely clueless he set me straight lol it’s intimidating when you’re learning an instrument and need to ask for help, he took all that away🤘🏻🤘🏻

We were assisted by Evan in purchasing an electric drum kit for my son. Evan spent a good amount of time answering all our questions, hooking up different floor displays for my son to try out and made sure we were making an informed investment for an instrument to last for many years.

The service was questionable on Sunday at 11am in Braintree. Very few people were in the store and the staff seemed relatively disinterested in engaging customers in understanding the product and more in hurrying you along.

I'm a woman. I play guitar in three bands. I've gone to this Guitar Center three different times to try out some guitars. The only time I've ever had someone ask if I needed help was when I was with a male friend. Today, I was specifically looking to play 2 different guitars and purchase a new amp. There were only 2 other customers in the store at the time I was there, and none of us were being acknowledged by staff. I literally stood in front of the guitar displays for nearly 10 minutes waiting for someone to come by to ask them to grab a guitar from the top row - never happened. Will stick with buying local. I walked next door to Five Below and was immediately greeted at the door. See, it's easy to do!

Not sure what you want. Thay have expert sales people who love guitars and other instruments. If you decide you want something else the return and or exchange policy is the best. Talk to the experts.
