TD bank did not honor a bonus for new account that I opened following their online add promising a $300 bonus after setting up eligible direct deposit into the account. I opened the account in June 2021 after seeing an online ad promising the said bonus. The same promotion is still ongoing on their website and I saved a screenshot of it. I opened the account online, and after a few weeks, found it strange that my salary was not showing up in the account. I contacted my employer and then found out that the money cannot be deposited into the account because TD has suspended my account pending review, and required me to verify my identity in person in their branches - of course, without telling me any of the above and I only found out after actively calling the bank. I went to the TD branch office in Harvard Sq. around 10am, and had to wait for an hour, because a supervisor "was on her way" (great working hours). After verifying my information, they told me that I should be all set and it would not affect my eligibility of the online promotion. Fast forward to October 2021, I started to wonder again where the promised $300 bonus was. I sent quite a few secured messages to TD, and they tried to put if off every time: at first, they said that I need to check after 140 days, and then after that mark was met, I was told that they are "actively reviewing" the claim, and that the mailed in promotion for the bonus event was addressed to another person in my household (which should be relevant, since I responded to the online ad that is open to anyone) and later, said that because I "opened the account in person in a branch" I was not eligible for the bonus, which completely disregarded the timeline of the event recorded through a trail of secured messages and phone calls. Given that there are so many reputable banks serving this area, if you are considering opening an account and get promotional bonus, skip this one and look somewhere else - save yourself the headache!

This branch lost paperwork to add my husband to my account, as well as transition my account to a type with a higher interest rate. I went here in 2019 and filled out paperwork to get my husband added to my account. Somehow this didn’t go through, and 2 months later when I thought it had, it caused a big hassle for me and my husband. I am also not sure why I had to request having an account type with a higher interest rate, seems like that should be automatic. I haven’t changed banks yet due to the hassle, but I am ready to soon given other poor experiences I’ve had with TD.

The TD Bank corporation is a major funder of fossil-fuel projects that increase the risks of Climate Change/Climate Chaos. The projects include pipelines to transport fossil-fuels, e.g., "Line 3" through which tar sands-derived petroleum will flow. In Minnesota, the construction of Line 3 is opposed by Native Americans who want to protect their land and water. Please do not use TD Bank until they stop funding fossil-fuel projects. Thanks Steve J

Again, this branch is the worst! Stopped in because it is close to my office. Waited outside for 20 minutes until they opened at 8am. Wanted to take a cash advance on my credit card. Handed my TD account card, license and credit card to teller and she refuses me because the credit card with my name on it isn’t signed on the back! Won’t accept if I sign in front of her or if I go and come back. I have had the credit card for years- taken cash advances, when necessary, at other branches with no issue. Thanks for again being America’s most inconvenient TD branch!

Very unprofessional manager worked on August 2, 2018 afternoon who was unable to proceed with a simple cash advance operation. Dear supervisors, please spend some time teaching your employers basic operations before promoting them. Thank you.

horrible experience, wanted to make international wire transfer, person who served me even didn't know what is IBAN , shame for any bank representative who doesn't know that, I have previously printed all info about my int.account to which I wanted transfer money seemed like she never done it before, entire time of proccessing she was reasking me, turning to me monitor and according to check everything, and non stop according if something wrong its my fault. Int. wire transfer failed, now Im abroad with no money, thanks to Eliana.

One of the few TD banks in the area that you can actually get to. They're open till relatively late. They have a coin machine in here which is awesome. There are two ATM available for after hours.

I visited this TD Bank branch many times. Beside exchange quarters, it pretty much get nothing done correctly. I lived in NY and try to close a CD account that was going to be finished in couple days while I already moved to MA. I need to travel in couple days so I went to this branch and hope they would help me move the money to saving account since I would not be able to do it due to oversea travel. They told me they could not do anything and I just have to come back in 2 days. "How about I call in from oversea?" I asked, they still said no. They told me that I have to show up in person in two days to avoid the auto-CD-circle kick-in. I gave up, went home and emailed my NY branch, they transferred and closed my CD without any problem. I was very disappoint with this branch. I tried apply for a credit card and the customer service, Sandra failed to help me. She could not find the information I have submitted to TD bank online so she applied the credit card again for me while I was there. 2 weeks later, nothing happened. I called the TD 800 number and they said they never receive anything from this branch. I visited twice and I finally gave up. TD 800 and this branch were playing ping pong on my case and wasting my time. I called and trying to speak to branch manager and the person on the phone told me manager is on vacation. I wanted to speak to Sandra and she was in training for weeks. I was not please for their service at all. I wish their service could be as good as their nails and hairs. Look like they pay more attention on how they look instead how they work.
