Hilltop Animal Clinic always goes above and beyond for your fur babies. Dr. Nygard-Bessie is always honest and never tries to do any unnecessary services. Her first priority is the fur baby. I’m blessed to have her as my dogs vet. The safe is also professional and nice. I wouldn’t take my dog to anyone else.

My mother called to have her dog seen for an urgent issue and the “receptionist “/ husband told her she is no longer seeing her because they inactivated the account 3 weeks ago. Her dog received her vaccines at petco during high covid season- this person was aware. How rude and unreliable to just turn your back on patients. It is really too bad that this happened. She has a phenomenal that. Shouldn’t have her unprofessional and rude husband answering the phone.

Every time I have been to this vet, the husband and wife fight loudly in front of us. They are rude on the phone and rude in person. I canceled an appointment and was called inconsistent and told to get another vet. Their costs are reasonable but their demeanor and professional is absolute garbage. If you can deal with their constant bickering and yelling, you’ll probably be happy.

Very rude staff member..was just trying to get an answer, and he kept hanging up on me and giving me major attitude.. the actual vet was nice enough to listen to me. But I would never trust my puppy with someone like him

Excellent care. Very nice and gentle with our 2 puppies. They are doing a great job with covid 19 precautions. Highly recommended.

I have to say this place isn’t worth even one star. Everyone in that office is very unprofessional. There is not one friendly face that works there. Made my experience with my new puppy very uncomfortable. My first appointment was very quick. There was no conversation about her health or my concerns. All of my questions were answered in a very short rude manor. My puppy cried for three days after the shot they gave her. I called to get my records to go to another vet the never asked my why I was leaving and hung up on me.

I have five dogs and I have been taking them to Hill Top for all of their veterinary services however based on the price of their vaccines with five dogs it would be very expensive. I have been taking the dogs to Second Chance animal shelter to get their vaccines because they’re only $12 per shot. $120 for 5 dogs It is $ 40 or $45 at Hill Top per shot. with five dogs and you can see that would add up real quickly. $450 for 5 dogs. A huge difference I made them aware of that fact. that is the only other services I have done outside of Hill Top. The shots are a good for three years. Today I called because one of my dogs is sick I was told rudely by the vets husband my dogs haven’t been there in over a year and that I am no longer a patient and their spot has been given to someone else. I was rudely hung up on. My dogs haven’t been there in a while because they haven’t been sick. Apparently if you don’t bring your dogs there several times a year. they will kick you out as a patient. The funny part is I see this guy all the time around town he knows who I am he could’ve had a civil conversation with me instead he was rude extremely rude and just hung up on me. Now I will go to second chance in north Brookfield for everything.

Vet is phenomenal. When my sisters 17 year old cat was dying, she came to our house. She was gentle with him, and checked every possibility with the tumor on his face. She was patient when my cat tried to attack her in response to her prodding the sick old cat's tumor. Told us he may not wake up if put down, his tumor might be large enough to be inoperable anyway. When she got our own clinic, I took my cat and advised others to take their pets there. She always was equal parts caring, frank and gentle. For her, I would give 5 stars. The front desk phone operator. I think may be a bit too stressed or just flat out an a-hole. I can think of no other word. I called in tears yesterday, my cats front tooth was knocked out halfway. I knew they weren't open but hoped they would call me back as soon as they got in. I tried calling them today multiple times, when he picked up, was brisk. I understood he was busy, tried to explain my situation. He said "Because you never responded to our correspondence you are no longer a patient here, we have no appointments." Then hung up on me. I have moved twice in the last year. The past residence in between, does not always give me my mail, and we left there as fast as we could manage because after moving there, they said no cats allowed. I never received said correspondence. However, as I was hung up on, this was never able to be told. Also, I tried calling back after, who would they recommend, that is all I wanted, as I trust HER opinion, and was picked up, then hung up on. So, 1 star, it may not do anything, I don't care. She deserves business, he is awful.

I would not recommend this clinic. The lack of kindness and friendliness towards our dog makes her scared to even go in and she's had several negative experiences at this point. We have switched veterinarians so our dog can have a better experience and not be terrified of being around a veterinarian. Their prices are overall cheap, but even with the cheap prices we decided to bring her to a more expensive clinic because of the terrible customer service and strangely aggressive attitude we get from the front desk receptionist. It's not worth it to go here and get treated terribly. We were very disappointed with this place and thought our dog deserved better. If the Doctor and her receptionist care about their patients they would do well to have better manners, better people skills, and act like they actually like animals.
