I have loved shopping here in person in the past. This year I ordered online and had a great experience! I got some lovely stocking stuffers and they were shipped quickly and packaged nicely so everything arrived in great shape. Can’t wait to go back someday but in the meantime, glad their service online/by mail is so good!

I originally loved this store, but after making a purchase, I feel robbed and lied to. I purchased a small 16" necklace for $18, and for that price, expected a decent piece of jewelry that wouldn't tarnish. If it was $5, I would understand, but I spent good money on this small little necklace and it was ruined within 8 hours. It is orange and not silver now and it turned my neck green. I called the store to see what could be done, but there was no answer so I left a (frustrated) polite message asking if they could help me. It has been several days and I have not heard anything. There are plenty of nice things in the store, but don't be surprised if you're suddenly screwed over.

Really eclectic and fun little store in downtown NoHo. Well, I shouldn't say small as it has 2 floors, but still. It has many things that you could be looking for, and more!

Yesterday I made a purchase on their website online. Entered all the necessary information with my International credit card. When I clicked pay, the website said my CC was declined but I got a notification from my bank that the transaction was successful. I called the bank that the funds is already withdrawn. I left a message on cedar chest customer service or 'info' email and no response at all. What a terrible place to shop. International customers beware. I felt totally cheated. Never encountered any problems at all and I have purchased so many products from so many US websites. Terrible customer service and that payment gateway, I fear that it may not even be secured. I shopped at Amazon and always asked for verification code before processing. This one is like none. The worst.

I wanted some outdoor string lights to perk up my porch as a safe place to sit with friends during the pandemic. While the temptation to shop on Amazon is a hard habit to break, I really want to support the small businesses in my town. Cedar Chest had several outdoor string lights including the solar powered white lanterns I was hoping to find. Their website was easy to navigate, they currently have free shipping over $25...AND my purchase was hand delivered to my door the same day I ordered it. Shop local! Support small business!!

Fun store to browse and buy. Unique offerings, great for gift giving and yourself! Changing product never makes the store feel repetitive. Stocked to reflect the changing seasons. Well merchandised and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Both floors wheelchair accessible, 1st floor direct, 2nd by elevator. 1st floor would be a bit of a challenge because of floor set, more room on second floor. Range of pricing to fit most pocketbooks. A must stop in, when in Northampton.

They always have a great variety of stuff that I love. Clothes, accessories, jewelry, lotions and soaps, candles, shower curtains,...and a lot more, but the kitchen utensils/supplies and kids books/toys are my favorites.

I've always loved this store but now that they've remodeled and expanded their second floor, I truly love it! What beautiful space to shop in. Staff is friendly, product is wide and varied and it sits right smack dab in Thornes Marketplace which offers lots of other shopping. Cedar Chest is a modern, stylish take on the old department concept. If you're in town be sure and give it a look.
