Needed a hitch receiver put on pretty quick due to the holiday weekend coming up, these guys got me in quick and cheap, customer service was amazing as they explained everything they needed to do without me even asking, took about an hour, while I was in there a very rude guy came in and they handled him very well even with him name calling and such.... definitely recommend these guys

I’ve usually had great experiences with U-Haul, (and to be fair, this is probably a larger or corporate issue), but today I was so mad I walked out of the store, and I’ve never done that before. I made a reservation about a month ago for a one way truck reservation. All of the emails confirmed it and I had nothing to suggest I might have trouble. When I went into the store, they didn’t have a truck for me despite my reservation. They said it never got assigned to a truck. I was livid because I’m moving over 300 miles away and needed the truck. Now, instead of paying about $200 for the move, I had to dish out almost $2000 to get movers so I could be assured that my reservation would actually be honored. So disappointed with U-Haul today

Doing business here was a great experience. I had a hitch installed on a vehicle here recently, and these folks are definitely worth recognizing. For starters, the price was very competitive, so I paid for and schedule an installation. Mike, the technician that was going to do the installation called me soon after, letting me know he had an opening sooner than what I scheduled to see if I was interested. Plus one there, I appreciated that, although it didn't work out for me to do it. Once there, Mike showed me there was a harness available that was better suited to my needs, and showed me why and how it would work for me. Both Crystal, who was primarily who I dealt with at the counter, and Mike the technician were both all about customer service, and were great to deal with. I highly recommend using U-Haul, and specifically the Plainfield Avenue branch for everything they may offer!

I have used U-Haul services and products many times and in many locales. The staff at this location has never failed me and have seemingly gone out of their way to be helpful. Their location is convenient and their price for LP gas is always a better deal than swapping tanks. If you need their services, definitely check them out!
