I try to go to this shop every time I am in this area, has wonderful antiques of all kinds, has great primitive furniture and smalls, hard to find in Michigan. The owner is very nice and have had many pleasant talks with him. Highly recommend, don’t miss if you are in the area!!!!

A truly wonderful and classic antique shop that you just don't find anymore. Bill is charming and has the most amazing stories. One of my must do stops when I visit family in Michigan

Inquired about getting my snow globe (with windup chime) that I've had since I was a child fixed since it was slowly going out. Globe has mainly sentimental value to me. Guy tells me to throw it in the trash and proceeds to tell me it's not worth fixing since it's a snow globe. What a nice guy -_- purely asked where I could get something like that fixed. Hard pass for me. Thanks for the "honest advice". My advice to you: learn empathy.

Bill is the friendliest and most knowledgeable antiques dealer around. His shop is cozy and well-organized, with quality items and a sense of history.

This is a real antique shop. Mr. Lesterhouse is a very nice man and a jem of knowledge. Be sure to bring your checkbook because your wallet won't be enough.

Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. The ONLY true Antique shop around. Bill knows his stuff!!! Highly knowledgeable and very passionate about everything. I went a few weeks ago and plan to go this weekend. I actually plan to go every two weeks! And it's kind of a drive. But SO WORTH IT. I'm telling you, if you're into Antiques, this is the place and I felt so welcomed and comfortable. I even bargained with him and he accepted and respected that. He was just so sweet and nice. He is the type of person where I just want to pick him brain. He knew every specific detail about each of his items. I love Bill! And I know others who have shopped there feel the exact same.

Mr. Lesterhouse is a kind, interesting, charming, and generous man who loves to tell interesting stories about his 60+ years selling antiques, 47 of which have been spent here in Mattawan (as of 2016). He seems to know his stuff, and has a large collection of beautiful things neatly displayed. He is rightly known throughout Mattawan as a wonderful neighbor.

This place is THE antique store in Mattawan. Awesome owner, flexible pricing, tons of glassware and other items. Cash only but your gonna leave with a lot of stuff for your cash spent. Check out the sandwich shop a few steps west of the store in the old Post Office building. The antique store owner told us he goes there for lunch and recommends it. No doubt that is the lunch stop anytime we pass thru Mattawan. Yummy & dirt cheep!!! Mike WE0H
