Luxurious, rustic in-depth and beautiful wood artisan masterpieces, absolute mastery of the craft. These are some of the most beautifully made handcrafted pieces I’ve ever seen in my entire life. Amazing customer service and amazing craftsmanship. If I could give this place infinite stars I would.

We just had our beautiful solid black walnut mantle installed and couldn't be happier! Scott, the Live Edge Artisan owner, patiently worked with my wife and myself to find the ideal wood solution, after which Scott cut the wood exactly to our dimensions and applied a perfect oil finish to complete the process. He also connected us with an expert installer. Scott has a true passion as well as an extensive knowledge of wood. I highly recommend Live Edge Artisan!

My wife and I walked in on a bit of a lark hoping to find some interesting wood for shelving, and had a super pleasant experience with Scott. Not only did he help us find a really beautiful slab, he cut it down for us and helped us really define the vision of what we wanted. It was so nice to talk with someone passionate about their craft, and so genuinely helpful and interested in what we wanted. We walked away so happy, can't recommend enough!

I don't even know how to write a review good enough for Scott & Joanne. We were looking for something unique for our spare bathroom renovation. That's what brought us to Live Edge Artisan. First we were mesmerized by the amazing selection of live edge pieces. Scott and Joanne were so patient with us as we painstakingly looked through their beautiful inventory. They helped us pick out the perfect pieces for our bathroom counter & floating shelf. Their attention to detail in cutting, sanding and finishing the pieces was truly the best. I still have a small piece left over from our project that I can't wait to go back to them to turn it into something amazing. They are simply the best!

Seen these guys on facebook, but looking at their work thought it would be out of my price range (I was looking for a slab and not a finished piece). Decided to stop by anyway to get some inspiration and I have to say the selection is amazing, and their finished pieces are beautiful. To my surprise I was able to find a slab that was not only in my budget but exceeded my expectations. Scott, the owner, was awesome to work with and had my selected piece cut, planed and ready to go in under an hour.

Live Edge Artisan is FANTASTIC! The wood selection is enormous, and the prices are way below what you will find online. We found a beautiful piece of 3" black walnut for a bathroom vanity countertop, and enough to spare for a living room end table. Owner JoAnn's passion for live edge slabs was very clear as she showed us around the store. She was determined to get us the best cut possible! If you are into live edge projects and you live in the metro Detroit area, you need to get out here for a field trip! Wish I could give them more than 5 stars, I highly recommend.

Scott and Joann provide outstanding service are are very helpful in the selection of just the right slabs. I am an amateur/hobbyist woodworker and their selection of different species is the best quantity and quality I have ever seen (I have been to most of the sources of live edge slabs in Detroit area). Scott was very helpful with his knowledge on different species and advice on how to complete the project. JoAnn spent a considerable time with my daughter's family understanding their likes and picking a very unique large walnut slab to be used on their dinning room table. I you are looking for a custom piece of furniture build from a true artiest/craftsmen or a beautiful slab for your own project, I couldn't recommend a better place.

My wife and I stopped in looking for a nice live edge piece for a sofa table we plan to build. They have an amazing selection of wood, for the DIYers, people looking for finished product and everyone in between. I loved the selection and was blown away at how friendly and informative they were. We picked up a great piece and left with a few ideas that we will be coming back to do in a few months. What a find!!!! I can't recommend them enough (the product and the couple)!
