The employees and the optometrist herself are great. They're all super nice and helpful. However Total Eye Care itself is horrible. I missed an appointment in april, so when i went to an appointment in june i owed a $50 no show fee. That's fine, i paid it. Now, it's the end of july and i received a bill from Total Eye Care c/o Northland Billing claiming that I STILL owe $50 for my missed appointment in april. 1, why did they wait so long to send a bill for a missed appointment 3 months ago? 2, why am i getting a bill for a payment i already made in full??? I usually go to this target optical out of convenience, and because the employees/optometrist are kind. However the company that they all work for will stop me from returning to this target optical. I will go elsewhere for my check up and contact fittings, and purchase my contacts from the target website so that i will still get 5% off of my purchase.

I received excellent customer service at Target Optical! They addressed my concerns regarding fit as I have a low nose bridge and they offered suggestions and solutions to help. This is my second time here and it was just as great as my first time. I had a overall wonderful visit at Target Optical and I would highly recommend them to everyone!

Only go here if you’re fine with incredibly rude and unhelpful staff. The doctor is very nice but no one else is competenn. When I had initially booked my appointment, they told me they had no way to check if my insurance covered their location and if my insurance did not cover their location and I tried to use it, they would charge me around $300. That absolutely does not seem right, but I decided against using insurance because of that. They also lied and told me I would be able to switch to a different type of contact after six months if what I had ordered was not working for me and when I called to make that change, they said they would have to charge me for a new eye exam just to switch from two week to one day contacts. This is absolutely ridiculous and was completely against what I had been informed. Do not go to the office. There are far better places in Minneapolis.

Every person employed here is genuinely helpful, patient and skilled at their work. Tagged along to my partner’s appointment a month ago, and when I went back for my own appointment, they remembered me. The most painless experience getting my eyes checked, and everything had been prepared in advance so there was no wait time when I arrived. High caliber of staff. Target, I hope you appreciate all of these top notch people running the optical shop. They are slaying it out here every time I visit!

In searching for a new optometrist, I learned that Target Minneapolis has an eye clinic inside, which seemed convenient, since I shop frequently at Target. The eye exam itself was easy, the Doctor was pleasant and thorough, and the office is brightly lit and clean. There are a great selection of frames, from leading brands like Ray Ban and Oakley. All in all, it's a great space. But the cost out of pocket was $195 (I also had a contact lens fitting). This price includes no glasses, no contacts, nor even a discount offered on frames. I am now the owner of a $200 sheet of paper, with no new glasses or contacts. I was so distraught, because now I have to save up to buy frames and contacts, and struggle with what I currently have until then. It would actually be cheaper for me to now go to America's Best, because for $78 I could get (another) eye exam and two pairs of frames. In that case, my visit to Target was for naught. I likely won't return, nor recommending this eye clinic, unless you have insurance.

Amazing I love the receptionist’s 💯 They’re so sweet and they remember my name everytime I come in it’s amazing vibes. The doctor is as well amazing he shows you every thing with your eye and explains it great😮💨👏🏽 I will be making it my main eye center.

Friendly staff and wonderful customer service. They were so helpful in picking out lenses and ordering frames and ensuring everything was a right fit before I left the store. Will definitely come back to do business again

Staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming! I don’t live downtown any more, but would never go to another eye doctor. The team answers all your questions and if you are appreciative and polite they will give you honest feedback if your frames of choice are right for you. You’ll leave with a smile and your face and a pep in your step from the collaborative energy. They go the extra mile, so I’m happy to drive the extra miles. Skeptical? Give it a try…but no one’s poking you (just maybe a puff of air in each eye—-but you get that on a windy day).
