We can only hope for privatization of the postal service. This post office plays second fiddle only to the DMV in lack of efficiency and friendliness.

Website lists their self service kiosk as open 12:01AM - 11:59PM! THIS IS NOT TRUE! I drove 30 mins out of my way for absolutely nothing

The “service” this post office provides is pathetic. Home delivery is unpredictable and sporadic. I’ve had packages literally left just feet away from the sidewalk next to the street. Attempted deliveries that take days to find. This place needs to be investigated. When I was in there today looking for a package that my surveillance camera caught trying to be delivered and NO notice left, someone next to me at the counter was complaining about a stack of mail that had just been delivered and was postmarked THREE months ago!!! And this service is NO better in non-holiday times of the year.

I rented a PO Box, so perhaps I show up at the location more than some do, but I've always been treated kindly and had a positive experience with people at the window. Sometimes there is a wait, I will not lie, and it's frustrating to get behind someone mailing a poorly wrapped package and paying with pennies (or whatever). Watching these transactions can be painful when in a hurry, but generally the issue is more about the customers than the staff. (Seriously, why do people think they can mail a paper bag filled with jars of jelly? I've born witness to any number of strange things while waiting in line.) I've watched the people who work here go above and beyond to help, exhibiting a degree of patience with some customers that most of us would be incapable of (seriously? paying with a jar of pennies? my snark reflex would be in overdrive). I appreciate that they have always been nice to me in the midst of what is a difficult public-facing job.

They have lackadaisical workers who poke around and take their time. Usually they just have one window open even if the line is going out the door. They’re nonchalant and have no sense of urgency. Some of these old guys should retire. On top of all the problems, they’re not friendly either. It’s faster to drive over to the post office in St. Louis Park. Our mail carrier is frequently off by one house so all the neighbors have to walk the mail over to their neighbors. And, the guy often delivers our mail to the same house number 2 blocks away on Drew. It’s really bad service.

What a joke. Just got an e-mail that my package was not delivered because they could not gain access to the delivery location. I live in a house literally 2 blocks from this post office. Sure we had a few inches of snow today, but we are Minnesotans #1, and #2, my wife and daughter were outside snow blowing at the exact time that they claim they were trying to make a delivery. What a joke. We have packages delivered to our single family house ALL THE TIME!!! We also have days where mail just doesn't come on our block at all (I'm talking business days).

They have a very small lot, that can be up to 3/4 filled with USPS trucks. There is no street parking and the surrounding lots are posted not for use by USPS customers. But the largest and closest lot is always empty at the end by the post office (the furthest end from the business that own it). In situations like that, it is common to lease spots from one business to another. I am sure that Lunds/Byerly's would be happy to turn some of that massive and unused lot, into a revenue stream. 14 spots leased by USPS would barely put a dent in the amount of available spaces. The furthest spaces are where USPS' indefinitely out of commission trucks should be moved. That will open the USPS lot up some and then customers can also use the remaining spaces as an overflow lot.

30 minutes in line to mail one package. One person at the counter. Don’t be foolish like me and make plans “after you stop at the post office.” This will become your morning or afternoon plans. Thanks heavens my kids were on their best behavior. This could have become a nightmare.

Attending this post office was one time mistake for me. I won’t be back. Too many post offices around to go to this one. I believe the man who ‘helped’ me was Kevin, and he literally threw my package and I heard it pound around wherever he threw it. No eye contact. Wasn’t nice. Nothing good to say about this poorly run government post office. Just awful all around. Never attend.

Although there always seems to be a long line at this location during busy times of the day (lunch, and before closing), I have been happy with the helpfulness of the staff. They all know their stuff and will find the answer to my questions promptly. They may not be "chipper" to every person, but I know that they face numerous customers who are rude, in a hurry, and believe that their mail is more important than anyone else. Give them a break and maybe be the first to offer a smile.
